I bought this planner for a high school student as a graduation gift and it was a good beginner setup. The layout is simple to follow with sections for tracking expenses, planning monthly budgets, and keeping notes organized. It was enough to give someone who is just starting out a clear way to keep track of their money without being overwhelming. The paper quality is decent and the pages are easy to write on. It is compact enough to carry in a backpack but still has enough space to make entries neatly. The design is clean and visually appealing. Overall this was a thoughtful gift and a practical tool for anyone looking to start tracking their finances. It provides a solid introduction to budgeting and organizing expenses in a manageable way.

I wanted something small and simple. I purchased a different budget book in the past w/ calender, etc and I felt overwhelmed with the stickers, various different task, pages and embellished design. It was beautiful and pricey but too overwhelming with my busy life and ADHD. I loved it but it did not work for me. This book is easy to use and perfectly simple. I tend to get bad anxiety and stress over finances. I can easily put it in my purse and work on my budget during lunch at work or waiting at the hopital. I like that the cover is water proof and I can sanitize it with alcohol if needed. I also like that it is decreet. The paper quality, design and sturdiness is great and perfect for me. I use a fine point black gel pen and paper does not bleed. I use my calender on my phone so I do not need any other stationary. I do not balance a checking account but I use this budget planner to keep up with transactions, income, bill dates, debt balance tracking, payment plans or agreements and spending habits. Any return credits or refunds I track also. All little spending is with cash and the big spending is tracked in this budget tracker. For example, allowance cash $50 weekly for lunch, snacks, extras.... everything else is tracked, even payroll or extra income. This book really helps simplify my budget and puts it in one spot for me to keep organized in my crazy lifestyle. 🤪

The pad is a little smaller than I expected but the layout is perfect for the usage. It allows you to track daily spending and I know some children who have to. The micro transactions and random purchases are putting them in debt. I use it myself for doctor visits and monthly bills. The quality is good paper the layout is nice and simple for good organization. I just have to write it down small but it fits in a money box. Good for teaching budgeting or your own use.

Ive been using budget books for years, various designs, formats etc...I do think they are important to helping me keep on track with my bills. I have ADHD and can easily not pay a bill. Writing everything out helps me a lot! I havent been super picky about how a budget book is formatted. But I think im slowly getting picky. Although this book is compact, and plenty of pages to write notes, jot down income, savings etc, I dont like the tiny undated calendar. If youre going to put a calendar in a budget book that isnt dated, then make it bigger. Otherwise you have these tiny boxes where youre suppose to write in a date. Personally I have decided I dont like budget books that have all the budget categories filled in for you. For example, under housing it has mortgage, insurance, electricity etc...well I label those according to the name of the utility company, or whoever I need to pay. I havent been using the page Monthly Budget because the categories are all filled in and there is no room for me to mark it out and personalize it. So ive been using the Expense tracker sheet to track my bills. It seems like a lot of budge books will make the categories for you, and I really wish they wouldnt do that. I like the budget books because you have everything in one place, a calendar, debt tracker, income columns etc.. And I generally like the compact size of them. The overall quality of the book is good. I like spiral bound, and its good quality spiral bound, the pages arent too thick, so im sure if I used a sharpie pen it would bleed through, but they arent super thin either. But I think next year I will opt for a budget book that meets my requirements now that im learning what that is. :)
