How do you change the battery of the Airtag after sticking it to bags?

It’s very odd that they don’t mention this fact, but the cover has a small tab that allows you to separate it from the fabric mount. You can then easily change batteries and press the cover back on. It’s quite a nice product.

How do you replace the battery once it needs a new battery?

If you mean replace the AirTag, a plastic cap pops right off.

Does the silicone cap/cover reduce the volume of the sound coming out of the airtag when played?

The opposite side of the cap is where the sound seems to come from. Besides, the direction locator is very accurate
