This is a good value and a high quality tubing bender. Well made and works well. First bends were perfect.

I bought this to make a piece of tubing for an air compressor. While it worked quite well at bending the tubing, it did have some small flaws that needed to be addressed before I used it again. A plus point not shown in the product page is that it has presets for the pipe hook for the different pipe sizes. That made this an equal with the other bender I looked at but much less expensive.The flaws were that there were some small nibs in the tubing channels where the molds came together. These made some small marks in the tubing I bent. In this instance not an issue, but for some cases those nicks would have made the pipe a flawed part and wasted material. Using some small files and other tools I smoothed out the flaws in those areas and it should work perfectly now. Those flaws reduced the 5 star to 4, but they can be fixed easily enough for the price savings. Also doesn't mean the more expensive tool doesn't have the same problem.I would buy this tool again and recommend it as it works quite well.

I purchased this for use on various lines, but primarily steel hydraulic line, stainless line, and occasion copper/nickel brake and fuel lines. This unit functions very well, with comparable results to the higher-priced competitors. The radius and diameter markings printed on the tool handles are accurate and help to simplify calculations for complex bends. I have had no issues with kinking or crushing of the tube, regardless of the tube material used, and am quite happy with this tool. The long handles also make the work much easier than many smaller units, a big deal when working on stainless hydraulic/pneumatic lines.

This item failed on its very first bend. It is advertised to bend "thin stainless steel pipe" up to 1.2mm thick wall thickness. I attempted to bend 1/2" EMT conduit, which was 1.07mm thick steel. The tool broke completely in half. It was rather amusing how poorly it performed. I returned it and purchased a purpose-built conduit bender that completed the task without any issue. I suggest you save time and effort and shell out the extra 20-30 dollars for a proper conduit bender. This could likely handle copper pipe as it's a lot more malleable. It's just poor advertising.

If you're planning on using this for copper PIPES, DON'T. It won't fit, this TUBING bender is made for tubing. People seem to be confused, copper pipes are measured at the I.D. so 1/2" pipes are 1/2" I.D. and is 15.85mm O.D. whereas 1/2" tubing is measured at the OD not ID, 12.7mm OD. If you're looking to bend copper pipes, look for a pipe bender.
