I am 50 and have been training since I was 17. Mainly gym training, but I have done plenty of home training too. I have been big and strong. And I've been lean and fit. I have a fully stocked home gym in my workshop. So I know my training. Now I've passed midlife, here's what I've got to say about the EISENLINK dumbbell (and barbell): The concept is fantastic. Both the dumbbell and the barbell use the same weight plate loading and unloading system. It's quick and easy and I can change the weight within the one minute break period I allocate myself between sets. It's simple and there is no "twist and go" action, the mechanics of which has proven to be a weakness in even expensive equipment that EISENLINK is competing with. This is "spit and sawdust" at its best and it has been designed to outlive YOU. If you are one of of the "scream and drop your weights" types, then NOTHING but pre-set dumbbells or barbells would serve you well enough. Personally, the biggest guys and gals I've met, tend not to scream and drop things. They control their training (they also never use tripod cameras... if you know what I mean). EISENLINK bars are solid and could withstand that kind of treatment to an extent, but with sensible training and respect for these weights, they could be heirlooms for generations to come. Now. I am rarely impressed with modern products, but this equipment is made with good steel and clever manufacturing. The welds are spot on and the interlocking plates are well designed and hardy. When the locking screws are tightened, there is NO movement of plates and NOTHING will slip off and land on your head during an enthusiastic workout. Being a simple mechanical design, there's little to wear and the chance of anything "wearing out" is pretty much non existent. In a nutshell... EISENLINK have managed to get the engineering right and they've allocated an affordable price too. This spits in the face of ANY competition from many angles. I have been able to whittle down all of my space invading dumbbells and have not had to look back with regret. The only thing I've retained is my olympic equipment and my leg press machine, which I use for squats, deadlifts, barbell bench presses and leg presses. Realistically I could even abandon most of those, but being "old school", I have an attachment to my olympic stuff and my leg press. And they too will be heirlooms. EVERYTHING else in my home gym now consists of two EISENLINK dumbbells and an EISENLINK barbell. I have bought extra plates to really get to the heavier side of muscle stimulation, but with excellent form and slow concentric and eccentric training these aren't really necessary to pack on the fibres. That's all you need to be fit and strong (unless you feel that displaying a full rack of 8kg to 50kg dumbbell pairs will impress your mates! I prefer to display my results!)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent build quality – solid metal and built to last I’m genuinely impressed with the Eisenlink 4–36 kg adjustable dumbbells. The build quality is outstanding — all-metal construction, extremely sturdy, and feels premium from the moment you pick them up. There’s zero rattling or looseness, even at higher weights, which gives a lot of confidence during workouts. This was a replacement for my previous adjustable dumbbells, which were made from cheaper materials and didn’t even last 12 months before failing. On top of that, the customer service from that brand was shocking and completely unhelpful. In comparison, Eisenlink feels like a proper long-term investment rather than a disposable product. Weight changes are smooth, the locking mechanism is solid, and overall it’s clear these are designed for serious use. If you’re tired of flimsy gym equipment and want something durable that will actually stand the test of time, these are absolutely worth it. Highly recommended. 💪

Ran out of space so looked into adjustable dumbbells and eventually decided on these due to price, weight (they can go heavier so thinking of future proofing) and size as they are compact compared to other adjustable and fixed weights of the same weight. I bought the 2x 20Kg set and the dumbbells arrived well packaged in great condition (no chips, dents scratches etc) and fully assembled. Changing weight plates is quick though admittedly not as quick as with Nuobells etc, but quick enough to change between sets no issue. They are solid, seem almost indestructible as it's an all metal construction and have room to buy and add more weight later on if needed. The dumbbells feel well balanced in the hand and it’s great to be able to get them closer together at the top of a press than I can with pretty much any other dumbbell. There's no noise/rattling when you lift so I’m pleased with this purchase. In the picture above, the Eisenlink on the right is replacing all of the other dumbbells (except the 2KG) which range from 9 - 20KGs. Overall, I'm happy with this adjustable dumbbell and think it's a good option if you're limited on space. The build quality feels solid, the locking mechanism is secure, and the handle has a comfortable, non slip grip that feels safe during exercises. The weight range is excellent and the 2 kg increments make it easy to increase weight gradually as you get stronger you can also buy longer pins which then allows you to go above 50kg. One thing to be aware of is that adjusting the weight isn't particularly quick. It takes a little longer than I expected, especially if you're changing weights frequently during a workout. It's not a deal breaker, but it's worth considering if you like to move quickly between exercises. Also, you only receive one dumbbell, not a pair. To be fair, this is clearly stated in the listing, so I can't mark it down for that, but it's something buyers should double-check before ordering if they're expecting a full set. Despite those points, the dumbbell feels well made, takes up far less space than a traditional rack of weights, and offers plenty of resistance for most home workouts. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. It's a quality product that does what it promises, but the slower weight changes stop it from being perfect. If you don't mind taking a little extra time to adjust the weights, it's a great addition to a home gym.

Well done dumbbells, with good weight and compact. It doesn't take too long to change the plates, less than the time between sets, so it's not a great deal. The plates then don't move at all, so I'd rather spend a few extra seconds and make sure they won't fall or move during exercises. Be aware, the plates are NOT compatible with the octagonal version of the same maker

Have recently received the 16kg version of these dumbbells. Have noted that the plates and the handles actually do not weigh as stated in the description and information leaflet. For example what should be a 5kg dumbbell actually weighs 5.325kg! It seems each of the components weigh more than the quoted values including the bar/ end screws/ weight plates. Does mean that tracking progression accurately is difficult and surprised that such a well rated item is not accurate in this regard. Otherwise the dumbbells seem of good quality and changing the weights works well as intended.

I spent a long time researching adjustable dumbbells before buying these. Others just looked too fragile with unnecessary moving parts. These are robust, relatively quick to change weight and are more compact than some options which have brackets that stay in place whatever the weight. The trade off with these is you need somewhere to store the plates when not in use I don’t find this an issue personally. The square design also isn’t an issue for me and the substantial handle is easy to get used to. I’ve also added extra plates to open up the possibilities. Overall I’m really happy with these.

Good quality. Fit wells in the hand, bit on the large side. Bought 2 of them during amazon days. Definitely good price to quality ratio.

Well made product, although the knurling on the grips is a bit too rough for me causing pain on my palms when using it without gloves (even when I have pretty tough skin). The plates are durable but the screw in system can be a bit finicky. Changing plates takes a bit longer than I would want, but the durability compared to a dial twisting system is pretty nice.
