I had recently bought this cat attack for another area in my home. And to clean the common areas. I didn’t realize until later that she had repeatedly patronized the pee spot and made it a terrible smelling carpet spot. I tried enzymes and my usual pet carpet cleaner, but nothing got the smell to go away. The spot was just too saturated in the awful odor. I ordered this as a Hail Mary. My carpet pad is encapsulated in plastic, so I drenched the problem carpet spot in a strong mixture of this and water, letting it sit for a bit before pulling it up with the carpet cleaning machine. No issues with the subfloor, since the plastic pad acted as barrier and also luckily didn’t also absorb the pee and odor. I alternated empty reservoir and plain water in the upright carpet machine as it pulled the pee slowly out of the spot. (So gross). This stuff smells nice and did more than any of the enzymes or other cleaners I tried did. After a few treatments and a few hours for drying the carpet in between, the formerly saturated cat pee spot was brought back to neutral.
