This is brilliant. Perhaps a little tricky to detach from the cord sometimes but I'm sure that'll wear in.This does, however, fix the obvious and fundamental problem with the Google Home - no battery for portability.Now I can take my Home to the garden, for example, or any other room I like within WiFi range.Tip: No Wifi? Set your phone hotspot to the same credentials as your home Wifi and tether. Then you can go ANYWHERE!8 hour battery life was, I thought, optimistic, but I've manged to get over 9 out of it the other week at a BBQ.Best accessory for the Home I ever got!

Unfortunately it has to be charged using the original power cord. This would be fine and charges fine but it is awkward to pull the power cord out when wanting to use it powered by the battery not the mains. The google power cord has not been made to keep being removed from the unit. I fear my power cord may end up unusable after constant use. The battery really needs to come with an optional extension lead to plug the google power cord into rather than straight into the bottom of the unit.Update (15/03/2020): The battery has died. I would not purchase this product again.

Great product and gives Google home the portability to be moved from room to room and even the garden (if WiFi reaches)

I'm so pleased with this battery base. It is super easy to use and the power lasts all day. Great for entertaining in the garden.The unit is metal and plastic which makes the speaker a little heavier and the build quality is quite robust.The only criticism of this product is that it is a little fiddly to plug in and remove the power cable - maybe a future model could have a charging base to drop the speaker onto. Other than that, it is a great investment.

I purchased this battery pack so I could use my Google home in my garage that only has solar power for my lights. Unfortunately when it arrived like many others have said mine was dead on arrival and would not charge. Basically these are only stock and the blackberry phone batteries used inside them are totally drained. I followed the review that instructed me how to charge one of the blackberry cells manually. 2 hours later and the unit was fully charged and fully operational. Well chuffed with overall solution. Portable google home and blue tooth speaker for less than the cost of a cheap Bluetooth speaker

Great idea but didn’t work on arrival and when trying to return they want me to pay for postage to the US to return which would be more than I paid so it’s just gone in the bin.

Very happy with this used it loads of time

Was a great addition for 8 months and then it just stopped working.I reconnected the original cover and the speaker still works so unfortunately it is the battery.

Hace completamente portátil la bocina Google home, excelente producto le dura muy bien la batería y estéticamente levanta mucho la bocina.

Unique and best product

Batterie qui ne charge pas du tout.Dommage, je connaissait déjà ce produit pour en avoir déjà eu, et comme c'est très pratique de pouvoir emporter google dans toutes les pièces de la maison, j'espérais en avoir retrouvé.Je retourne donc ce produit avec grand regret.

Ça, c’est le bidule à obtenir. PAR-CONTRE, les excellente piles à l’intérieur sont à plat, le chargeur ne les voient pas. Nous devons ouvrir le boîtier, sortir les 4 piles et les survolter une à une. Ensuite tout fonctionne durant 6-7-8h sans arrêts. Il y a des vidéos qui explique comment faire
