Grinder Whetstone Knife Sharpening Angle Guide, Perfect Assistance for Grinding Knife Blade, Used in Kitchen, Restaurant

I used this to sharpen a ceramic knife on an Ultra Sharp diamond whetstone purchased from Amazon. The ceramic on the angle guide glided over the stone perfectly. Sharpening a ceramic knife if a real challenge and takes time. Being able to maintain a consistent angle would be impossible for me (a novice at sharpening) without the guide or a much more expensive and elaborate setup.

Great for getting a consistent angle on your bevel if you have trouble with freehand sharpening. The one con is that the two ceramic pieces have a gap which will occasionally get caught up on the stone. Was very helpful overall, though.

Works perfectly

I've used whetstones for pocketknives for years, but I am only now getting serious enough to learn to sharpen kitchen knives. I suppose this little gadget is a security blanket that I can slip on a knife from time to time to check that I'm close to the right angle. But it's a bit bothersome in actual use, esp. with a long blade. To move a long knife along it's full length on the stone the guide is pulled away from the stone altogether, doing little or no good. And one huge issue to me is that when used with a narrow-bladed knife it puts the knife at a significantly different angle than with a wide-bladed one.

Get little invention. I also want one with a smaller angle for my Asian knives.

This tool holds knife blades at just the right angle for sharpening. It is only useful for blades above 6" in length.
