This fixed my issue! We installed these new fancy luxury toilets in the house that brought out a horrible water hammer in the wall. These did the trick! Just make sure you use enough teflon tape. This leaked the first attempt I made. I ended up doing 6-8 wraps with some pipe thread sealant on the second time around. No leaks and the water hammer was over. My set up - 1/2 female NPT x 1/2 female NPT x 1/2 male NPT / 1/2 water hammer arrester. Noise level is low and overall satisfaction is good. Easy to replace in the future since it’s a wear item.

Bought an automatic faucet for my bathroom. Unfortunately it kicked off after 2 second so it continually would kick off while using it and back on again and each time it was so sudden, going from all pressure to none, and created immediate hammering. Used these on hot and cold and the hammering stopped! Thanks :)

Waste of money, received on 4-8-2026, installed soon after. Has not stopped the water hammer from happening. Before ordering read the reviews most were good except one was one star. I am not surprised that they failed to do what they were suppose do. Would not recommend them!

I have a big house and put one on each side. I still hear the thud when the clothes washer is running but I think it’s less. I may need to put additional suppressors right at the washer.

uh... if you are the squeamish time, it's not for you... it came in a lil box with a big "WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm" and a website in California...perhaps in 400 years or so but I'm good... Anyway it is well constructed and installed easy enough. Update: bought a second one for my kitchen undersink - found that the other brand we had in place, had stopped working; (of course, had to remove to find that out). This one is a "drop in" and worked right away.
