Review: I keep more than a dozen extra in my rope access rescue kit. They are all around Great! Review: It's a steel biner. You either need one or you don't. I got this for my treeclimbing lanyard for extra weight in throwing over branches. I use all Rock Exotica gear for my climbing carabiners. As opposed to most(all?) other carabiners, you pull the gate down to unlock it rather than push it up. I find it's easier for me perform one-handed. They also make a version with a push up gate(the Uplock), but that negates a big feature imo. You won't find better quality gear, so if a pull down gate interests you, this is the one to buy. ## Features - MBS-Major 50kN - Gate Opening: 1.2" (30 mm) - Weight: 8.80 oz (246 gm) - Certification: CE / ANSI / NFPA "G" - Gate opening: 1.2" (30 mm) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01FXT4FB2 | | Batteries Included | No | | Brand | Rock Exotica | | Carabiner gate clearance | 1.2 Inches | | Colour | Stainless-Steel | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (19) | | Date First Available | 29 September 2016 | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 35.6 x 35.6 x 25.4 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 254 g | | Manufacturer | Rock Exotica | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 11023 Pounds | | Number of Items | 1 | | Season | Year-round | | Shape | D-Shape | | Size | Auto-Lock | | Sport | Multi-Sport | | UPC | 816302020345 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Rock Exotica - **Colour:** Stainless-Steel - **Item Weight:** 254 g - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Shape:** D-Shape ## Images ![Rock Exotica rockSteel Auto-Lock - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51W6RYSDZML.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by V***B on 7 August 2025* I keep more than a dozen extra in my rope access rescue kit. Those pretty well sum up this STEEL carabiner very well! Some prefer lightweight aluminum carabiners and Rock Exotica has those too but for the money, safety and security; these are what I'd personally recommend when your life is on the line, LITERALLY! ## Frequently Bought Together - Rock Exotica rockSteel Locking Carabiner - Auto-Lock Stainless - PETZL Delta Carabiner Size 8 mm + Bar --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/530698534-rock-exotica-rocksteel-auto-lock](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/530698534-rock-exotica-rocksteel-auto-lock) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
