I was reluctant to use a synthetic. I'm so glad I did. These are so sturdy and look great. I wouldn't install at less than 6 inch overhang and I highly recommend applying a netting of you're installing on a non solid surface Like mine. Looks great and more natural and keep the strands in place. Very happy with the outcome. Perfect shade and channels rain better than I expected! Definitely recommend even on high end projects

Great stuff! It seems to be made out of plastic that had a picture of grass and then cut to look like thatch. Worked great, looked great and will last in the outdoors.

I thought it would be 13" in length but average length is about 14 or 15" and some are up to 18". There is a texture to the blades that add to the realistic look. Material is a type of plastic. feels very durable. Blades are randomly offset and doubled up so making it thick enough that I will not have to double up the strand when I hang it. Band at the top is thick and durable so I feel comfortable nailing it or making a hoe to hang if necessary. Comes with a handful of zip ties. strong, long and of matching color. Did not care about that when I purchased but very pleased now that I see their quality. Just got it and cant wait to post final pic when finished.

Been wanting to turn my enclosed patio into a beach themed room. After searching for a thatching that is affordable and can withstand being out in an non climate controlled room, I came across this. I was a bit apprehensive with how it it would look and the weight. Since I was hanging it directly to a wall it had to be light enough for staple gun application. It is lightweight and looks better than expected. The material is thick enough to hang clips off for string lights without tearing. There is an odor but that goes away after a day or two. I would imagine it would hold up well to outdoor use as well. Also, it was a longer roll than anticipated which worked out. It filled the whole room.

This stuff is durable. I used it to trim my yard swing. Close up though, it looks “plastic”

This looks amazing in our tropical backyard. I feel like I'm somewhere tropical all the time now. Fits our tiki theme!

Has held up over the hot summer.
