## Questions & Answers

**Q: How often do you have to replace cartridges and whats the cost?**
A: The gas cylinders don’t last as long for us as the previous Sodastream we had, which carbonated about 40-60 bottles. The Sodastream Art cylinders last about 3 weeks for us before they need to be replaced, which is probably between 30-40 bottles. We’re heavy sparkling water drinkers, so even exchanging the cylinders every 3 weeks is still saving money.

**Q: Can anyone tell me if the soda stream Art is any better or worse than the soda stream Terra?**
A: Not sure if ‘better’ is the description.  The Art is easier to use.  Pressing the top is a challenge for folks with certain disabilities. The lever makes it easier.

**Q: How much are the co2 canisters**
A: New bottles cost $30 each. However, it’s only $15 per bottle to refill if you utilize the SodaStream refill program. The best deal I’ve found is to own four canisters so you can utilize the SodaStream exchange program for free shipping without worrying about using the canisters before having to return them. If you have less than four canisters  to exchange then it’s $8 for shipping. You have to return empty canisters within 60 days otherwise you’re charged full price. Hence, why it’s less stressful and cheaper in the long run to own four bottles outright and then follow with periodic exchanges.

**Q: Do any of these systems have an option to use a glass bottle instead of plastic?**
A: i have many friends and family with the soda stream, i have not seen any use a glass bottle.  the plastic bottles do have an expiration date stamp on them.

I love my New SodaStream Starter Kit This is my second Soda Stream. Except this one you don’t need electric!! Yay no wires. No batteries. It so easy put the Canister in and pull the handle. This is a great product and I wish I'd known about it years ago. We saw a review of soda-water makers on ATK and decided to buy this one. It really is an elegant solution. I stopped drinking pop a few years ago and went to club soda. This is a LOT cheaper. Also: no deposit bottles. PROs: An incredibly simple design. Couldn't be any more compact. Doesn't require electricity. You stick a CO2 cartridge in the back, snap the lever down, put the back panel in place, and you're in business. Put the bottle (1 liter or .45 liter) into the holder, draw the lever down the right number of times, and there you go. You can buy syrups to make your own soft drinks. You get new cartridges on subscription, however you want. They have a system to send back the empty cartridges in the carton the new ones came in. CON: a very minor one: as the cartridge gets to the point where it's almost out of CO2, it takes longer to charge a bottle.
