excellent product for dog owners who want a safe and effective way to prevent scavenging or unwanted biting. I bought this for my 14yr old labrador who has recently developed a scavenging habit. The product is very well constructed, is easy to clip on behind the ears and includes a soft leather lining strap which fits across the dog's muzzle . I was sceptical at first but followed instructions to make the wearing a game - one second on - off- treat-repeat! Lots of positive praise resulted in my dog gradually wearing it from 5-20 mins without protest! The whole point was to allow him to mooch around, sniffing but not eating 'interesting' items and has been a complete success. I imagine how you introduce your dog to the muzzle is vital but the product itself needs to be reliable and this certainly does the job. It is also easy to clean after muddy walks although take care to remove any mud that may get stuck whilst out walking as this may block the nostril area. There is enough space for the dog to bark as well so all in all proves that it is possible to teach an old dog new tricks! Dog walks do take longer as I feel complelled to stop and tell other dog walkers that he is not vicious but wearing the muzzle to prevent scavenging- this in turn enables other curious dogs to inspect and all has been well in this regard too. Thoroughly recommend!

The product itself seems fine. It is quite stiff and sturdy - good if you have an aggressive dog. I am not sure my dog will take to it but I only need it for trips to the vet as, after a bad experience, he now gets a bit anxious going there. Do check the sizing though. I have a medium sized (26kg) Vizla. I measured the dog according to the instructions and so bought size 10. It was way too big and I have ended up returning it and buying a size 8 which is a better fit. What is not apparent is that the anti-scavenge bit adds an extra 2 cm in length. If scavenging is not an issue, you do not need this part in and you can have a smaller size. If it is too loose around the jaw then he can knock it off with his paw. Being slightly shorter is also handy if you want to be able to feed your dog treats through the mask.

Measured him using a piece of string, he was in between sizes so I decided to go one bigger. It fits him fine but I wouldn’t let him off lead with it on as he would still be able to get to things through the sides, he can open his mouth enough to pant but would need this taking off to drink. He was previously walked on a figure of 8 lead/head collar so he has taken to using this pretty quickly. His first walk using it was a run down the street and back again so he didn’t have time to stop and try to take it off. He has scratched the end along the pavement (sniffing!) and as it’s a solid plastic it’s holding strong, it’s flexible around the sides though. I am hoping to use this short term only, he has been scavenging for food items during walks and due to the length of the grass where we walk it is hard to tell if he is just sniffing or eating something he shouldn’t be. He has a very strong leave it but for food, I don’t know he’s eating it until it’s gone. So I use this to keep him safe. It’s taken him about a week to realise he can still have his sniffy walks but he is used to it now. Definitely worth the money for peace of mind (until the autumn at least anyway!)

Have been using these for about a year after my three year old Springer Spaniel ate two stones & required emergency surgery. The vet advised me to get a muzzle. Have tried several brands but Baskerville are by far the most user friendly- easy to fit and allows dog to breathe properly while exercising which was the most important feature for both Lola ( my dog) & myself. Only problem is they seem to snap by the removable guard after about four months. It may be due to my hyper active dog - she still manages to play football with a ball despite the muzzle! Her paw-work is truly amazing & she can bounce the ball on the muzzle. However it is literally a life saver for her so will continue to purchase .

Get the size up for your dogs they can be adjusted it's worth it for your dogs happiness , they fit great and my dogs can't get them off like every other one I've tried, they actually didn't really try to begin with as they fit very comfortably in the perfect position to keep them safe and breathing normally . The insert makes some extra breathing room and allows access for water drinking , I pulled the mask down to make sure it didn't go past their noses if they pulled it down with their paws, you don't need to tighten the mask up past that point as there is no way for them to get it off if they can't pull their nose out through the top as it secures behind the ears from undernearth. Does the perfect job of keeping them safe on walks or in the garden since they don't notice it's on until they try to eat something they shouldn't . Very happy I bought one to test then got another , only muzzle that didn't stress the dogs and me out . Soft and versatile material .

Quality - Not durable. Dog ate through the strap and chewed the plastic. Contacted the seller but not sympathetic at all. Would not recommend.

This muzzle works wonderfully for the dog to be able to drink/pant etc. It fits well and seems to be comfortable. The only problem is due to the thickness of the plastic, a large breed is able to get their paws into the plastic and use their considerable strength to push it off their snout. In a nervous or vicious dog this could be disastrous. Overall a great muzzle, just not right for my mastiff or rottweiler.

Came quickly despite Christmas time. Seems to be very sturdy, and of good quality. Fitted as expected. Our dog dislikes it lol, but keeps her from eating stuff she shouldn't!!

Paste goed voor mijn Pomeriaan maar ze begon het af te duwen van haar neus en zat vast met haar klauwnagel, waardoor het begon te bloeden en ze die nagel verloren heeft. Is een goed systeem dat de hond kan ademen maar niet voor mijn hondje. 🤭

Great item, know the right size for your dog. I use it when I bring my dog to the vet clinic. Just in case :)
