Makita CXT battery charging adapter small light and does the job and works great

Top product come in handy so many times in last few weeks seriously didn’t know how I lived without it working on site in property with no electric it’s saved my life a few times

Handy little bit of kit, this has got me out of trouble a few times when needing to charge my phone while on a job and no access to mains power. I even run a small dehumidifier in my car over night off of it as it was USB. Obviously will need your own battery and not the strongest thing in the world but very useful.

Well handy when your phone is running low

To start with; the only downside of this product, and hence only 4 stars, is that I would have preferred something more robust in material than a simple ABS construction. The upsides; this clips on very securely, offered belt attachment and has dust protection over the USB port. Since it has a power switch it won’t leave the step down transformer working when you’re not drawing power. Since you’re working with 10.8V you have to remember the capacity of your battery (like 2ah) isn’t comparable to your phone or power bank battery. You have to convert it up to like 2.1x higher or look at the Wh capacity. If you use this with a 4ah Makita battery you’d be comparing that to a 9ah power bank perhaps. The 2.1A output is great; this will charge your tablet not just satisfy it; and can quickly charge your phones (not Qualcomm Quickcharge) better than a 1A output. This attaches to any new style CXT 10.8V (aka 12V max) battery; not the old 10.8V cylyndrical batteries, and not the 18V LXT batteries. Could be a great accessory to have for people who have CXT kit at home for DIY to flex their batteries now and again; but also make use of those batteries instead of investing in power banks for long journeys you could take your CXT batteries along. Or for those who keep CXT on their vans for their jobs or as backups; you could use your CXT as battery backups for your phones. This basically gives you a great every day utility use for your CXT batteries which may not get the use they could. There was another reviewer here who seemed confused. This will charge your phone, and keep it charged even while running Pandora and a Bluetooth speaker at the same time. Not sure of what the power output is, but I am sure it is higher than 2.1 mAh. I do wish that instead of the switch, it was a second usb connection however, but aside from that it is still a handy device to have on a job site.
