Katie and the Impressionists

I love James Mayhew's Katie stories, they are lovely to read and lovely to look at. A wonderful way of encouraging an interest in art, and in making stories as enjoyable for parents to read as they are for children to listen to.

Amazing book, beautiful illustrations, very much enjoyed by my daughters.

Love those Katie books&so does my 7-year old. Such good quality&lovely adventures.

I always loved the impressionists and by reading this book to my daughter it made me crave to know more about the genius, Claude Monet. Can’t find a book more inspiring considering it’s written for kids and it even inspires adults.

Katie collection by James Mayhew is worth to keep in your shelf for your kids. It’s Katie’s adventure to the museum, meeting a lot of painting characters and also their painter. I found the price of this book is cheaper from Amazon than the other websites.

Goes well with an Impressionism unit.

We study great artists as part of our homeschool curriculum and we absolutely LOVE the Katie series!! Highly recommend! My daughter loves looking at fine art and these stories bring the art to life!

El libro, como toda la serie, es precioso, con ilustraciones muy bonitas y la principal idea - una niña que va al museo y entra en los cuadros - una manera muy ingeniosa de introducir los más pequeños a mirar los cuadros. Antes de ir al Museo del Prado está bien leer a los pequeños "Katie and the Spanish Princess", para el Musée d'Orsay en París este mismo. Diría que es para 3-6 años, pero se disfruta de estos libros también fuera de este rango. Está en inglés.

Love this book! The drawings are beautiful and capture the impressionist style well. My daughters age 5 and 3 ask to read them over again and again.
