Expensive but it works.
So like many others, we invested in a black limestone patio a few years back. Every year I’ve had to reseal it to try to maintain the dark colour. Every year we’ve bought different sealers and have been disappointed with them. This year, we decided to take the plunge and pay the £70 odd for a tiny 1ltr bottle of back to black. I’d previously thought it was too expensive for just a litre when we were getting 5ltrs of other stuff for the same price or cheaper.I’m very pleased to report that it’s flippin miraculous. We’ve used under half a bottle on a large patio. There’s no tackiness when you walk on it, like we’d had with other sealers. It’s not been down long enough yet to vouch whether it will last but I am happy with the application process and the colour achieved.Rain now pools on top of the slabs in beads so it’s definitely sealed them.Time will tell if it’s my new go-to product. I’ve got enough left to do the whole patio again next year if I need to.I’m attaching photos to show what a difference it makes.

So far so good, does as advertised
Did exactly what it said it would do. One point to note if you have stains on the slabs it doesn't remove them but I wasn't expecting it too. From slabs that were definitely pale grey and faded to slabs that are back to the lovely dark colour they were originally. We jet washed everything clean and set to work once they were completely dry. Used an edging pad and small tray from b&q to apply the sealer, went on really quickly and very easily, following the instructions to spread without using too much and buffed off any excess didn't take too long at all to cover 25m2 of slabs, we still have half a bottle left. It does leave a slight sheen on the surface of the slabs but I find that very pleasing to the eye. Husband was worried they may be very slippy when wet but I've been out in the rain to try them and it was fine. No idea yet how long the sealant will last but so far so good. Cheap at half the price though, if we need to reseal each spring I'll still be happy as I like the black look

Excellent, and not just for black limestone
Like others, I was a bit apprehensive about spending so much on one litre of product, but I am pleased that I did. The product was used on our blue/grey limestone paving laid about six months ago. Like most limestone, the colour had begun to fade and we wanted to seal it for two reasons. First to restore the depth of colour and second to provide some level of stain and spillage protection. It's too early to say how it will perform long term, but the application process was easy and the aesthetic transformation is very good. The product is basically a stone oil, and applying sparingly and buffing to remove excess works well. I probably have a third of the bottle left after 35 square metres. Two pieces of advice... Keep a small hand brush with you to get rid of any grit on each slab. This despite having cleaned and swept thoroughly beforehand. Secondly, plan your "route" and don't paint yourself into a corner!

Does what it says on the tin, well bottle actually, but you get the drift!
Ive just used this on my patio and the results are great. I followed the instructions to the letter: made sure slabs were clean and dry, wiped on thinly using a paint tray and pad, wiped off excess and buffed up. I did each slab individually, so had sore knees at the end - took me two day to complete. Not sure how long it will last - but fingers crossed it will be at least 12 months. Be sure it wont rain for at least 24hrs as it could cause rain spots. The surfaces was tacky a bit for a while - but soon dried up ok.Its expensive stuff - but worth the price and effort.

Excellent product
Used this on slate slabs that have been down about 15 years. They were really nice at first but over time they had faded a lot and didnt look black anymore but pale grey. This product was really easy to apply. Cleaned them first with a nail brush and soapy water, applied clear product with paint brush. Buffed off as directed and they look great. After a couple of days they looked a bit dusty because it hadnt rained but they look even better now a couple of weeks later. Very happy!

Sticky patio
After 5 days patio is still sticky. I have rang customer support ( who blamed me ) for advice. Their advice is as to re-do with a tiny amount and buff, I’ve done this without success. I’m literally stuck!

Cap faulty
The product is excellent i have used it a lot. I have only given 4 stars because I cannot open the bottle. I have to pierce the bottle and decant it and I have had to do this with 2 bottles now. I have been in touch with Aztecs and they say they are aware that the sealant sometimes makes the cap stick. Otherwise 5 stars 🌟
