I’m really impressed with the Philips Handheld Steamer 1000 Series. It’s become my go-to solution for quick clothing touch-ups, especially when I’m in a rush. It’s compact, powerful, and super easy to use. Easy to use, heats up pretty quickly. The water tank is big enough to use high steam setting on a bigger piece of clothing. Great for thin fabrics and everyday clothes, however, I find that formal clothes like shirts are better off with regular iron. It's awesome it comes with a glove thats big enough to store the steamer, also, the wire is long enough.

I've only had it for an hour but I already love it. The beautiful pastel lavender and baby blue cord are just lovely and feminine. It is a bit bigger than expected but perfect for my needs, I'm sure I can find a slot in my suitcase for my new travel companion. The water tank is very simple to detach and fill using a sports bottle or jug, it could be bigger but that would take away the point of this machines compact form. It is the simplest machine to fill and monitor as all you do is to gently pull it from the back, slip open a rubber flap, fill and recluse. Easy, safe and water tight. Then just push it back into place on the steamer, press start and within seconds it's ready to go. The cord is quite long enough for most needs, it folds up closely for storage and isn't one of those thick, ungainly iron style cords. It looks quite sturdy and doesn't get tangled in use. I appreciate how quickly it is ready to perform, the power shop of steam is fast and efficient. I also love how fast the steam stops when you take your finger of the button, this is a great safety feature as others seem to dispense steam for a while after you turn them off. This is within seconds, very quick but also still ready to go ahead when you are ready. The machine does stay hot for a while after use but this is perfectly normal, after all it's heating water very fast. I also appreciate how easy it is to stand up on it's water tank whilst cooling down. It's simple to let it stand quietly while it cools, then put it into it's tidy bag which fits both the folder machine and it's whole cord. Overall a very pretty steamer with safety features that actually just does it's job, simply and efficiently.

I wish I’d bought this sooner. It’s compact, easy to fill with water, heats up quickly and produces plenty of steam for everyday use. It removed creases much faster than I expected. I took it on holiday and it made a big difference. Being able to quickly steam clothes in the evening meant I didn’t have to wear creased outfits or rely on the hotel having an iron. Lightweight, easy to pack and simple to use. I’d definitely recommend it for both home use and travelling

The Philips 5000 handheld steamer is bringing ironing into the 21st Century. I chose this particular version partly to free up cupboard space (no more bulky iron/ironing board) and partly as I wanted to get “down with the kids” as apparently conventional ironing is old hat now. I mainly chose it though because it looks like a really cool space gun! I chose the red option which is actually a vibrant slightly dusky coral colour (not scarlet as it looks in done photos). I must point out that the difference between colours in this range is not just the colour but the accessories that come with it: the coral/red comes with just a heat protecting mit that doubles up as a storage bag. Some of the others in this range have an additional ironing mat and slightly larger capacity 200ml water holder. Main features: 35 second heat up time (I timed it). There is an on/off switch and an eco/max button. Also a trigger that you press to release a burst of steam. I particularly like this as it means you’re not wasting water and can control exactly where to steam. I couldn’t really notice a difference with the max mode, I guess it just dumps more steamer faster. The device can be used either straight or bent - just click it into the bent position for the “space gun” look. I only tried using it in this position and it was comfortable to use. The steamer can be rested on its side while adjusting garments etc to steam - the hot plate doesn’t touch the surface so seems safe. You could rest it in the heat mit for extra security. The main thing I was concerned about before purchasing was whether the water tank would be big enough. The capacity is 120mls. I found this gave me approx 5-10 mins use on eco mode, which was ample. I refilled it twice in my ironing session but that was just because I was trying it out around the home seeing if I could steam off old stains on curtains / cupboard doors (it didn’t work so well on these - a gadget with a scrubby head might have been more appropriate). The weight was fine, not ultra light but by no means weighty. don’t think the 200ml water tank would have been necessary - and would add to the overall weight. Also, I could mark it down for length of the lead (2 metres) but I think that a longer lead would also have added to the weight. Just something to consider but you could always add an extension lead. The water holder just clicks on and off, has a rubber seal that covers the water hole (flip It to fill it). It seems fairly durable - possibly potentially the weakest point for longevity but time will tell. Use: you can iron like a flat conventional iron or just hang up a garment, slightly stretch out the part you want to de-wrinkle (wear the mit for this), spray the steam and you’re done. Overall, I’d definitely recommend. It exceeded my expectations for looks and use. And it works! No more grappling with a heavy old ironing board and airing for a steam iron to warm up.

I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from - this steamer is a waste of time and money. Took me over half an hour to steam a single oxford shirt, and had to go and refill the water in between. The steamer spat hot water out on my shirt. Still seeing some creases even after going over them multiple times. The water tank is too small and the cord is too short.

Lightweight, easy to use. The water cartridge comes off without too much hassle and is easily refillable from the tap. It needs fairly frequent refilling though, one cartridge per garment , I'd say. It is pretty effective although it won't cope with deep creases, I've had more powerful steamers but they were big and bulky so it's depends what suits you. It's versatile, I've ueed on clothing and a duvet cover.

Great steamer! Absolutely no drips or clouds of steam etc. It heats up quickly and works very efficiently to remove most creases. The pointed shape helps to smooth corners and awkward places, it works like a mini iron. No damage to any fabric, even when pressing on it rather than gliding above it. The provided mat and mitt is great, I use it on the bed for some items, hang on the back of the door for others. It’s easy to fill the water containers, my only reservation is the rubber bung to seal the water in - past experience with a Phillips tooth flosser showed this was the weak spot - a tiny bit of plastic which cost a ridiculous amount to replace (when postage was added), in the end after 3 replacements I abandoned that for another brand. I’m hoping this won’t be the case with this steamer! But a filling of water used on eco mode lasts for a long time when using the larger container, not sure why they bother including a smaller one really. I mostly use it for steaming children’s clothes in preparation for selling online but it’s equally good for adult clothing and even for flattering out the crinkly edges of some annoying tea towels. It’s relatively heavy, I wouldn’t want to pack it for holidays, but it is easy to operate and now I wouldn’t want to be without it!

Happy with my purchase! It works very well for my need of occasional light ironing. I like the mat & gloves, really useful & the water tank with 2 different capacities is very handy. I would highly recommend this model/option over the others where some accessories aren't included.

Really great! Easy to use, quick to heat up. It’s obviously not an iron, but it straightens clothes really well. Great alternative to ironing which I hate. It also have a very cute colour. The only qualm I have, is the small reservoir. You can only do a garment and a half at a time on the tank.

Weil der Kabel kein Europaweites Kabel war und es stand nicht dran dass man dafür außerhalb Europa anderen Adapter braucht jetzt miss ich extra noch einen Adapter bestellen dass finde ich nicht in Ordnung
