A great deal heavier than the generations-of-service spade necessitation sadly replaced, so if you're a wee bit spindly, old and frail like myself that might be worth bearing in mind: it'll dig a hole and crack through inch+ diameter tree roots with ease, but it'll likely make you ache in places you may not have ached before. I couldn't bend it. Would undoubtedly make a good murder weapon and digging under the patio to dispose of the body would be a breeze.
