Liquitex Professional Freestyle Traditional Brush 4-Piece Set

I thought my other brushes were good but these are even better. They hold loads of paint and give lots of control. A pleasure to use. I was recommended them by an artist called Jenny Aitken. I am delighted and surprised that they are very reasonably priced.

I only gave it a 4 star because I would rather have bought separate brushes, or a pack of different size brights rather than a mixed pack. I love the quality of these brushes, the bristles have good bounce and hold their shape well, and the handles are nice and long with a little bit of ergonomic shaping. I use them for acrylic painting.

my brush arrived with stray hairs sticking out. Unfortunately I needed to use it so I cut them off. Would not recommend. If a product is reduced for a fault it should be said so.

This line of brushes is an acrylic painters dream! It is obvious that the makers had their heads on straight when they made these! The handle of each brush is proportional to the size of the end and it tapers in the middle creating excellent balence in your hold and a comfortable grip that lets you paint for hours. You can use them when you would use a shorter handle or longer. The bristles have exactly the right amount of spring and retain the same amount when wet. They allow one to lay out a lot of paint when desired but also work well for thin and soft strokes. These brushes hold up to lots of scumbling with out spitting hairs and losing shape. The white color alows for good judgement of paint color and knowledge of cleanliness. The length of the bristles is perfect for both control and not have paint build up in the ferrul. I have purchased this brush is many sizes and shapes and I have been happy with the price and quality each brush has had.

The brush is excellent. It really is a stiffer brush, perfect for heavy-bodied acrylics. The handle and ferrule feel like top quality. The issue I had, which is why I deducted a star, was that a couple of bristles arrived kinked/bent. It was shipped in a soft envelope, so I guess that's the luck of the draw. I still like the brush and use it daily, but I would have preferred better packaging.

These are wonderful brushes! They are durable, well-priced, clean up easily and are just perfect for the technique I use when painting. Thanks, Liquitex!

I've been using this brush for acrylic painting for a few weeks now and it's holding up really well. You can make thin washes or thicker applications, blend colors and paint edges easily with this brush. It's large, but well-balanced and I feel in control of it, even though it takes more hand strength to grasp than a smaller brush. Best of all, it doesn't shed bristles. I think, with proper care, it will last a long time!
