Yes but you may need to push it down a bit using a minimal amount of force. It wasn't hard. The middle most slat is different though as that ones a part of the frame and needs to be screwed on and connects with the center legs.

On each leg the bottom hole is about 4 1/2" high and the top hole is about 6 1/2" high.
