Encyclopaedia Eorzea ~The World of Final Fantasy XIV~ Volume III Hardcover – December 19, 2023

Truly an exceptional book, gorgeous illustrations and so much lore on concepts that aren't explored enough in the game. A must have for any lore-sponges out there.

Most of thus you'll pick up by delving into the quest text, additional lore tidbits during duties, side quests, job quests, and all that, so it's not like you're missing anything critical if you don't buy this, but it does act exactly as an encyclopedia does, allowing you to quickly reference things if you need to. Never again get stumped during a lore discussion or find yourself trying to recall exactly what a character said about historical events. A great addition to your bookshelf.The minion that comes with it is kind of meh, I'd have much preferred another clothing item like Matoya's hat, but I'm mostly in it to keep my encyclopedia eorzea collection complete.I was kind of hoping they'd have something on female hrothgar, but other than the overview of their society in general it doesn't have anything on them. understandable since it came out days before Fanfest Japan, and thats where they announced them. still I think for roleplayers and stuff, something about female hrothgar naming conventions would have been nice to have.

Having never bought one of the Encyclopedia Eorzea books before, I figured Id go with the 3rd volume since Endwalker was the first expansion I resonated with greatly and was my first experience with playing the expansion at launch to finish. Reading the lore behind the Zodiark & Hydaelyn arc and the buildup to all the events throughout Endwalker has made this book a joy to peruse. The pages feel wonderful and have beautiful art accompanying the text, the text is written beautifully and masterfully helping to emerse yourself into the lore of Final Fantasy XIV. If you're like me who enjoys a deeper dive into lore and also enjoys the world and story building of Final Fantasy XIV, you'll love this volume of Encyclopedia Eorzea. Arrived in a box with original shrinkwrap, minion code worked. This is the first EE I’ve gotten, since I loved ShB and EW, love all the little bits of lore and art. The paper and printing is nice, the retail price for these is justifiable imo. So glad I could buy this from Amazon (and on sale) since shipping is the reason I don’t get merch from SE store.

I’ve been playing XIV since ARR came out, and I have the other two volumes. This one blew me away; it showcases the labor of love that was Shadowbringers and Endwalker, giving you an almost obscene level of detail about the world. Once you hold it in your hands, you can feel how premium it is, it reminds me of the encyclopedias of old that I looked through before the internet.If you play, if you’re a fan, or if a loved one is, then this time is a must buy. You won’t regret it.
