Sturdy and functional - hours of fun!
Was going to give this four starts because the first box was missing pieces. Luckily it was at the beginning of the build no more than 50 pieces in and was able to return with no issue so I'm giving it a five star. When the second order arrived, we found that the first box was missing a bag of at least 30+ pieces. My 9 year old built this without any issue. Lego bricks are easy to assemble. The crane is sturdy and he actually plays with it and uses the iPad as the remote. He's played with this more than the roller coaster set 10261 that he built 3 years ago, and that was a fun set to play with too. These large lego sets are pricey but he practices life skills when building this set, such as focus, patience and sense of achievement. Plus he's not watching you tube.

Cool unique model, a lot of time and batteries all you need
Wouldn't have gotten at usual cost but snagged on special price & don't regret I did.Provided bit of stress relief to build here & there over course of few weeks.Never did a Lego kit before so can't base build on anything comparable.Instructions were clear & fairly simple to follow - total time involved was more than I bargained for.Functions better than I expected & the wireless / app control is great.Has become essentially a static display in my office that gets batteried up and run on occasion, just to knock corrosion from my operator skills.

Enjoyable Build.
Very enjoyable build and challenging to say the least. I look forward to more LEGO kits of this type.

So amazing (I am kind of out of words)
Worth the money I absolutely love. the really small details are amazing. I Am 11 and the hardest part was the string for the hook (the string is provided). and the front of book one it tells you about the actual crane.

Huge Lego Set
Took about 16 hours to build. All the pieces were there including some extras. Can be a little challenging to use with the app, but once you learn the controls it’s simple. Lots of detail goes into it, especially with hand tying in all the strings. A little on the expensive side but this is massive and heavy duty once all put together.

ARRIVED AS ADVERTISED
It's a Lego Product and in a typical Lego box. One thing I have noted is there are bags 1 thru 5 in one box, within the prime Lego box; and then there are 4 boxes of Lego pieces. Lego pieces in boxes I have not seen before (always been divided by bags) and I have built a few of the major Lego's such as Titanic, and a couple of other cranes. So as you progress through at least bag #1, it will call for pieces from the boxes. There is an icon in the book that indicates the pieces required for the next step come from a box. Although the boxes are not numbered or referenced by a number in the books, there are pics of the pieces within the boxes on each box so you know which box to go for the required items. The 2 hubs included required firmware updates but via my iPhone with the Technic app were flawless and easily accomplished. I am still in the early part of the build but still, all in all; a great build as we would expect from a Lego product. No problems with the order process and because it was prime, it arrived when forecast. So no complaints here. Would definitely recommend if your getting this for your child, to exercise some adult supervision or it would make an awesome build to do together. The choose users age for this review only goes as high as 13+. in my opinion, for this build, I would say 15+. For reference, I am 71 and still loving and building Lego's!!! Enjoy!!!

Huge but expensive
This lego set is huge. I can't justify the price but its a gift for my dad and I'm enjoying the building process. This set is perfect for people who love construction and building legos but it's really expensive.

Fun build but challenging
This was a challenging build which was a lot of fun. It’s a large build, ensure you have a good working space set aside. Depending on your allotted time per build session, plan on multiple days of build. I spent a few hours over a couple rainy Saturdays to complete it. If you’re purchasing for a young kid or planning to work with yours, this one might be a tough one for them.I was surprised that for the cost of this crane, I consistently found to be missing a part (usually small) or two when getting to the end of the numbered bags. I kept having to go into the next set of bags to find a replacement, eventually having to make some alternate choices at the end to finish the build. I’ve heard from friends who also have this crane, they’ve also had to go get missing parts from Lego.Aside from that, I really enjoyed this crane. I am planning to modify the crane (starting with boom and jib). There are quite a few folks online working on alternate boom combinations and building these up to 9FT tall. Should be continued fun beyond the initial build with so many options to modify.

Perfect Present
My husband loved building this Lego crane, one of the best gifts I have got him. The details of the parts and how they all operate the crane are top quality.

Me encanta LEGO.
