Excellent performance for gardening; easy to use; good formulation of 2-14-0
I'm very satisfied with the quality and performance of this bone meal. The NPK ratio is as it should be for a bone meal, with low N. Other brands have far more N that is not ideal for what I'm using it for, namely plants such as peppers, tomatoes and zucchini.I've been a long-time user of Jobe's garden products and have always been 100% satisfied with the quality and results. The brand does carry a bit higher cost, but I find it to provide the best value. Five stars.

Helped with blossom end rot
I had to pick about four good big tomatoes because of blossom end rot suddenly invading the plant. In under a week my tomatoes got larger and the new bigger tomatoes seem to be good so far!It is very dusty.Follow instructions. You shouldn’t use this product more than a couple of times per year.

Got purple stems?
This stuff smells WONDERFUL -- just like beef jerky, makes me want a juicy steak. I can see why my dogs and cats went crazy when I was fertilizing my plants with it. I am growing tomatoes and strawberries indoors under grow lights (I grow other stuff just fine hydroponically, but for some reason, plants in soil are doing worse and hydro). Within the past month, they started taking on a purplish hue on their stems and leaves. The plants are grown in coco coir and perlite mixed with a little compost. After much reading, I was able to diagnose the plants with a phosphorus deficiency. I read that bone meal is a great organic way to boost phosphorus, so I bought Jobe's bone meal fertilizer.I applied about 1-2 tablespoons per plant and watered well. That was on Saturday 8/20. It is now Tuesday, 8/23 and I can notice a big difference in the hue of the leaves and stems -- the purple is not as vibrant as it was, especially on the stems of the plants. The new leaves are much greener and they look healthier that they did 3 days ago -- the old leaves are still a purple hue, but the center of the leaves are now green. Though it's still early, I can easily conclude that this stuff is working. This is the only thing I changed between Saturday and today and I'm glad I did.I'm very happy I found this product
