I recently purchased the OEM Kioxia 256GB M.2 PCI-e NVME SSD Internal Solid State Drive with the intention of using it alongside a CFExpress Type B Adapter for my Nikon Z6ii camera. Initially, the SSD seemed to function well, offering ample storage capacity and swift data transfer speeds. However, I encountered some drawbacks during use, which led to uncertainty regarding the source of the issue – whether it stemmed from the CFExpress Adapter or the SSD itself.While the SSD appeared to be compatible with the adapter and the camera. The fast read and write speeds provided by the SSD were beneficial for capturing high-resolution images and videos without experiencing lag or delays.The OEM Kioxia 256GB M.2 PCI-e NVME SSD Internal Solid State Drive shows promise as a storage solution for cameras like the Nikon Z6ii when paired with a CFExpress Type B Adapter. However, potential compatibility issues and reliability concerns may warrant further investigation before committing to this setup. Maybe I needed to purchase a more reliable CFExpress Adapter.
