How does this item stay flush in the tank when filled with water?

Thank you for your inquiry. This decoration is made with a resin and is heavy enough not to float under water. It can also be partially buried in the substrate the eliminate the clean cut at the bottom.

Each picture shows a different shaped product. how do i know which one i'm getting? or do they just randomly pick one and send it?

The basic shape remains the same. I don't think the one that I received had a vertical hole in it like in this picture. I thought that they were really overpriced but I was happy with it. I ended up going on Etsy and buying a pottery creation as a centerpiece for my tank.
