I had initially purchased a storage tray from WeatherTech for the storage areas next the tail gate. After realizing I would be using the entire storage area of the Expedition because of the room the vehicle provides. I needed to find a solution to protect the felt backing on the seats when placing the seats in the storage position. The mats were easy to install and do hold in place. Their diamond tuck pattern looks nice and looks like it was made for the vehicle. The protection panels hold in place when loading the material in the storage area perfectly. However, I will see how the material holds up over time and if the material tears. I forgot to mention that the material protects the side panels inside the storage as well.
