Can be better
The trays have three handles 120 degrees apart. Therefore, when one is lifting a filled tray it gets disbalanced. Especially when hot steam is come up, putting it in and lifting it out is a problem. Ideally there should have been 2 or 4, diametrically opposite, so that the tray is balanced while lifting.

Disappointed with Product and Return experience
I am very disappointed with this Idly Steamer from Indus Valley. The lid is loose and does not fit properly on the vessel. During steaming, a large amount of steam escapes from the sides, making it inefficient and unsafe to use. The overall build quality of the steamer body is also poor and does not feel durable. Unfortunately, these defects could only be identified after actually using the product for steaming. I immediately placed a return request, but the pickup agent rejected the return stating that the product had been used. How else can a customer identify such functional defects without using the product? Now I am left with a defective product and have lost my money. This has been the worst product experience I have had with Indus Valley and a very disappointing return experience with Amazon. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Seller's excellent cooperation in resolving misunderstanding and returning full refund.
The product's quality is good. I was looking for a cooker that can steam three plates at a time but this can handle only two at a time. The seller responded quickly and refunded full amount without any problem.

Not stainless steel
The product came intact and presents itself as on the Amazon photo. The lid overhangs on the pot so not sure if it will completely seal the steam. Will test it out. The product in entirety doesn’t feel like stainless steel. The base perhaps. The components are very light weight which I wouldn’t have expected if stainless steel. And I have physically bought stainless steel products from stores. The base plate clearly looks soldered on so clearly not stainless steel pot. Would’ve expected a single mold if completely stainless y steel. Okay will test out.
