I'm no knife expert. I just know when a knife fits my hand, is sharp enough to cut with safely, and strong enough to stay straight so I can cut a straight line. This knife does all 3. It's a good all around kitchen knife for me.

I went on the hunt for quality knives that wouldn't break the bank that would also be well suited for a rental property. My husband loves these kniives so he recommended I try them. What really sold it for me was the sharpening sheath. If tenants stored them in the sheath they would automatically keep them sharper and I wouldn't have to include a more complicated knife sharpening system that I wasn't confident people would be able to (or want to) use. So overall, big win there. Only downside is the hand feel. I don't know... it's a little bit on the plastic feeling side and a smidge lighter. Maybe it's the weight balance with the size of the handles. It just doesn't sit quite right with me but I have a weird OCD with that sort of thing.For the price... I can't complain at all. I've been cooking with these in one of our properties for the last year and I like them enough that I picked up another set for the next property I'm working on. THey'll do and the price is right so I do recommend them for a good multipurpose knife that I know will hold up.

Fabulous choice for your one cooking knife when on the go mobile. High quality. Actually does have a single rivet in the back which is plastic. I think that farberware has really got a winner in this line of knives and this is the highlight knife right here this size in particular. The cases really great. Congratulations guys!

Sharp thin blade, I wouldn't try prying with this guy, but slicing tomatoes, perfect.
