This beaker exceeded my expectations! It is light weight, durable, easy to clean and the price can't be beat. Applying extreme heat and chemicals for several hours has not affected the borosilicate glass clarity and remains easily to clean no matter what harsh chemicals are used in it, always looking brand new. The fonts and graduations remain clear and in place through several uses. This a quality product that I would recommend to anyone doing science experiments or lab work that involves high heat.

Works great for the tinctures im making.

I just received mine and tested the measurement markings for accuracy and it’s off by approximately 25 mL out of 450 mL (its under). This 800mL Karter beaker when measuring 450 mL of liquid, then transferring it, it came out to approximately around 477 mL, About 16oz instead of 15oz. I doubled checked measurements against several other measurement beakers, they all matched the same measurement but the Karter didn't. It does have a +/-5% of error marking on the beaker. My beakers actual measurements: Total height: 5.590" (142mm), Outside diameter (below lip): 3.940" (100mm), diameter of lip: 4.184" (106.3mm). Mine was 3mm bigger in diameter than advertised and maybe why its under measuring. It was also a little big to hold in hand when filled. The glass itself is smooth and very clear without defects, bubbles or waves so no problem if you don't need an accurate measurements.
