Super easy to use, wish I got this sooner!!

This stuff is brilliant. It’s a must for anyone who uses cooking oil and especially if you have a deep fat fryer. It does exactly as stated. I’m hooked. Will buy this again when mine runs low. It is quite expensive, but I can safely put my unwanted oil in the bin. I usually use a flour mix to get rid of a small surplus of oil. But you can’t do that with large batches. So it’s a very quick fix. Problem solved. What a clever idea.

Can't recommend this enough. Getting rid of used cooking oil has always been such a faff, and this makes it completely hassle-free. Just add the powder to your hot oil and it solidifies as it cools — once it's cool it's solid and you can just chuck it in the bin. Brilliant. The only slightly tricky bit is estimating how much powder to use if you're not sure how much oil you have, but guestimating works fine and I just add a little extra to be safe. If it comes out mushy and hasn't fully solidified, you've not added enough — just gently reheat the oil, add a bit more powder and let it cool again. Simple fix. A genuinely great product that I won't be without.

Absolute witchcraft! This stuff does exactly as promised, makes the whole process of disposing of deep pools of cooking oil an absolute breeze now. So glad I found it, and will be coming back regularly for more!

THE PROBLEM If you do any amount of frying, you know the awkward bit afterwards. You've got a pan of used oil sitting on the hob and no good way to get rid of it. Down the sink is terrible for your pipes. Jarring it up feels like you're just postponing the problem. I've tried the flour method before — mixing in cheap plain flour until it forms a paste you can bin — and it works, but it's messy and you burn through flour fast. It also feels wasteful to use good flour. HOW IT WORKS Dead simple. One scoop of powder per 250ml of oil, stir it in while the oil's still warm, then leave it to cool. The flakes dissolve quickly and then you simply leave it to cool. I used it on leftover vegetable oil from frying some breaded tofu. The oil was full of bits of corn starch and batter debris. It set into a soft solid I could scrape into the bin. It wasn't the neat rubbery puck the packaging photos suggest, more of a thick waxy mass, but it held together well enough to dispose of without any dripping. THE COST Here's where you have to decide what your convenience is worth. The tub gives you about 20 scoops at roughly 70p per use. That's not nothing if you're frying regularly and is a lot to spend on something you'll throw away. The flour method costs pennies by comparison — maybe 15p for 200g of basics range plain flour doing the same job. But this is quicker, easier, tidier, and doesn't leave you feeling like you've wasted half a bag of flour on bin paste. OVERALL Does what it claims and makes oil disposal feel like less of a chore. Whether the price premium over flour bothers you depends on how often you fry. It will definitely protect your drains and avoid the environmental harm of cooking oil in our water systems.

Was very skeptical that this would worked but it's brilliant. Sprinkle a scoop into hot oil, leave it to cool and just like magic, the next morning, the oil is solidified and you can chuck it in the bin. The oil must be hot, otherwise it will not work. A great solution to a very annoying problem

We don’t fry much in my house but when we do it’s always such a pain to get rid of the oil. There are lots of available product options but we decided to try this one out based on the reviews. Now I’m adding my 5* to list. This stuff is amazing! Just slide it right out of the pan and into the organic bin. Btw, I’m not an influencer so this is my true customer review. 😊
