Review: IT MAKES CANNING EASY & ANXIETY FREE - I've been wanting to can for a very long time. I also have an electric stove top and heard online that the big water bath canner can make the stove top Crack, so I started using a smaller pot that won't go over the burner to prevent this issue, so I could only can maybe 7 pint jars at once. And I also struggled with the whole heating properly, and just the anxiety behind it. BUT I just bought this electric Ball Canner for myself while on sale because it was 100$ off for the pre-prime sale. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE BUY. I was hesitant for months about it and when it was on sale, I decided to buy. But I enjoy it so much now that I would knowingly now pay the regular price. It really has been made easy, that even a nervous Nelly like me didn't stress. You can even find YouTube videos of how to use, and it made me feel very confident in using it. I've only ever made apple butter before because it's easy, but this time I tried Strawberry Jam. I ended up making 2 batched because I overbought supplies, but this made it SO FREAKING EASY. I wish to someday have a homestead of my own, but in the meantime this has helped satisfy that ancestral urge to squirrel away food lol. Function- It really is that easy in the sense that you fill with water, it preheat your jars, which beeps when it's done. Then stays warm so the jars are still hot while you fill your jars. Then literally once you put the jars back in, it preheat back up to temp again, then processes on whatever processing time you put. Then has a rest timer for 5 minutes before you take it out. And also has the spout which you can put on whatever side to make it easier to empty the water over the sink. I love it! Review: Best canner! - Best canner ever! So easy to use and no more guessing when the water is ready to go and keeping the water at the right temp. So glad I bought this:) ## Features - Safe and easy-to-use Press & Forget technology automates preheating and processing steps at the push of a button to eliminate wasted time watching the pot - Heat sensors inside the electric water bath canner maintain optimal temperatures for consistent canning and cooking results - Free up valuable space on your stovetop with a freestanding water bath canner designed for your countertops - All-in-one canner does more with multicooker and steamer functionality that’s perfect for cooking pastas, soups, vegetables, and seafood - 21-quart capacity fits up to 8 pint-size or 7 quart-size jars.Includes comfortable handle grips, easy-to-drain spigot, and detachable base with dishwasher-safe components; pot is hand-wash only ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BV3CRBCR | | Brand | Ball | | Brand Name | Ball | | Capacity | 21 quarts | | Color | Silver | | Colour | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,293 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00014400101038 | | Included Components | Includes comfortable handle grips, easy-to-drain spigot, and detachable base with dishwasher-safe components; pot is hand-wash only | | Is Electric | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 42.9L x 42.8W x 37.8H centimeters | | Item Highlight | 21-Quart Capacity, Automated Heating and Processing, Multicooker and Steamer Functionality, Heat Sensors, Freestanding Design | | Item Type Name | Water Bath Canner | | Item Weight | 20.3 Pounds | | Item weight | 20.3 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Ball | | Material | Stainless Steel Plastic | | Model Number | 2177240 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 2177240 | | Product dimensions | 42.9L x 42.8W x 37.8H centimeters | | UPC | 014400101038 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ball - **Colour:** Silver - **Item weight:** 8.8 kg - **Material:** Stainless Steel Plastic - **Product dimensions:** 42.9L x 42.8W x 37.8H centimeters ## Images ![Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61vqM3WCeFL.jpg) ![Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Y-9YoG5sL.jpg) ![Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71iMsmSk7nL.jpg) ![Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81dQtRbN-ZL.jpg) ![Ball 2177240 EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner, 21 quart, Silver - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Pxrf0r31L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the max amount of time you can set it for processing?** A: I haven’t had to do max yet so not sure but it’s digital so you type in the hours and minutes. Love mine! **Q: Can half pints be double stacked in this unit and still be covered with enough water?** A: It came without a jar holder so I would think that they could not be double stacked unless you have a way to keep from leaning in the canner. **Q: Difference between the auto canner and the Ball one with just the dial knob?** A: The Ball Watergate canner is easy. The dial let's you start heating water early or to heat jars before filling them. Then just turn dial all the way up to boil. Then you just boil the specified time for your type of food that's recommended. Easy cleaning. **Q: can this be used as a steam canner?** A: Yes, it can be used as both a water bath and a steam canner. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IT MAKES CANNING EASY & ANXIETY FREE *by T***S on 5 October 2026* I've been wanting to can for a very long time. So easy to use and no more guessing when the water is ready to go and keeping the water at the right temp. So glad I bought this:) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend this excellent product *by B***C on 10 July 2025* Highly recommend this product. I am relatively new to canning (& preserving) and this product has made the process so much easier. It is true that starting with warm or hot water accelerates the first feature. I agree with other reviews that the controls are not easy to work with and the spigot doesn't drain the pot completely however, the full beginning to end result is less time consuming. I have a very small and limited kitchen space so sterilizing/preheating the jars feature works for me. It's easy to clean, easy to empty and easy to store. I recommend this for anyone who is learning how to can. An excellent investment so far and will edit this review after a few more batches. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ball EasyCanner Electric Water Bath Canner - Kalave Canning Funnel, Food Grade Stainless Steel Canning Funnels with Strainer, Wide Mouth Funnels for Kitchen Use, Canning Supplies Kit for Wide and Regular Mason Jars - 3 Pack (Small and Large) - Rainspire Canning Jar Lifter, Canning Tongs Jar Lifter, Canning Tools, Canning Supplies for Home Kitchen, Stainless Steel, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/541393410-ball-2177240-easycanner-electric-water-bath-canner-21-quart-silver](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/541393410-ball-2177240-easycanner-electric-water-bath-canner-21-quart-silver) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
