Works well for 10 gallon tank.

I wanted a cheap airator for a new 10 gallon fish tank. This one really stirs the water. It did not clarify much. But sponge was coated with stuff after a week. The “filter” fits loosely in the housing.Ordered a four pack of replacement filters. Figured the sponge may break down with use.Was looking at the filters. Decided to install two filters in the pump. Turned them sideways so they fit tightly in pump housing. After one week cleaned, also pulled and adjusted height of the filter. Have it now right at the bottom of the slots in housing. This allows water to enter filter from the bottom and the sides.The filter now works amazing. Water stays clear.Think compressing the two filters inside housing makes the pores smaller. So it catches smaller particles than before. Also the original filter fit loosely, water bypasssed the filter completely. With the two filters turned 90 degrees and compressed inside housing there is no bypass.I had purchased some much recommended water clarifier. Barely worked. Water stayed murky. With two filters I would almost drink the water now.

Worked great for about two weeks and justStopped. Cleaned every piece and part, no clogs. Motor runs but absolutely so suction pulling any water through to actually run the filter.

Love this filter. Far better than the one I got from PetCo and much cheaper. Easy to assemble and use. Very less to no noise at all.

I got these quickly, probably the fastest order to ever arrive!!.... BUT...This is an updated review!!! I originally wrote a bad review because I bought 2 and ""THOUGHT"" one broke within a month. Not True. The error was due to a blockage in another section of my filter system.Now knowing what the problem is, i have to say these are good little water pumps. It needs to have a better filter design; I now use cotton but actually had a Keurig filter stuffed in there at one point.Now knowing what the problem was... I have to say, these are inexpensive hard working little pumps. A little noisy, not too bad -but the aerator setup, what I'm now using this for, works very well.

Buenísimo, tengo una pescera de 3 galones y es comodo para instalarlo y cambiar lo cuando es necesario,,,,, el filtro que trae lo puedes lavar y volver a usarlo lo recomiendo, gracias

Seriously? No instructions? The ad mentions that Pawfly customers say the parts are easy to figure out and put together. I don't work in the Pawfly factory and don't do this every day. So, forgive me for being stupid. Following the pictures isn't a great help as the parts are colored differently than the pictures. Instructions would have been nice! Also, maybe make it plainer that both functions can't be used at the same time......the clear hose OR the spray arm. Maybe include a T fitting to be able to use both! Good Grief!

If could have saved so much money with one of these filters.They're great quality.I cut the probided sponge in half and stuck 2x cotton balls in the filter compartment, then the sponge after and this keeps my 10 Gallon tabk crystal clear.As a bonus its nearly silent. I have it running beside my bed and its very quiet.I have a 40 gallon tank with a canister filter (fluval207) and i wish I had 2 or 3 of these instead...would have saved 150+ dollars too.

O filtro é uma porcaria, se é que pode ser chamado de filtro. Este nem funcionou ao ser ligado. DECEPCIONADO!

pieces of plastic junk totally useless plastic parts that dont even fit together. im so upset about this item. i need it for my fish but this is bags of usless parts that dont go together. this is something less than lowest market quailty. its a bag of plastic parts. its also a broken crushed up box which was already opened and retaped by someone! im really unhappy about this ! i want a refund and im not going out of my way to travel someplace to return a bag of crushed plastic bits. im disabled and no vechile to go anywhere which is why i buy online in the 1st place.
