Purchased for new Airbnb to give emergency exit through an otherwise locked access door. It’s a little tricky to prise the outer cover off - carefully bend the clips with a knife or screwdriver. Once off, you can screw the backplate to the wall, slip the ‘glass’ (it’s plastic) in, hang the key and clip it back. Once it is clipped back the only way to get in there again is to smash the glass, so don’t forget to hang the key on the hook before securing the front part! Looks pro. I ordered a separate break glass thing which hopefully I will never need.

Easy to install and secure until glass broken.

The hammer is heavier and better quality than I expected. The only thing that lets this down is there is no way of attaching the hammer to the box. If there was a small cut out in the box rim it could hang from the same hook as the key and be neater.

We had to have these breakglass boxes at each means of escape due to security of our buildings they are invaluable
