Great pliers for the money.
I originally bought a set of Performance Pro CV boot pliers from Advance Auto. They were not built right and didn’t allow the tool to pinch the clamp. I found this set on Amazon, ordered it and received it the next day. I have used this set to replace two CV boots and works great!

Much better then Plier style crimping tool.
This tool works really well. I originally used a fairly expensive plier type clamp when working on my 3rd Gen 4Runner but I didn't get the large clamp on the outer boot tight enough. After my my first highway trip I had grease splattering everywhere. I repacked the grease and used this tool and am very impressed with how it works. Much tighter then I could ever get with the plier style crimping tool.

The tool you need for ear clamps
Way better than the clamp pliers available in my local parts stores. Easy to use and provided good clamping force for clamping cv boot clamps (ear style).

Works pretty well
Works. Pinches the ear on oetiker clamps pretty well. Be sure to tighten down the Allen bolts so there's no play in the sliding pincers or it'll mess up your clamp. Better than those generic pliers that are too short to have any leverage. Still a little unwieldy as you tighten the driver bolt with a ratchet the whole thing wants to twist with it, but you can hold it in place better.

Works great
This thing worked well, I removed the CV boot and replaced it with a new one and was able to reuse the clamp.

Very good substitute for the Toyota service tool. One small issue of note: the end of the bolt had sharp edges which caused difficulty tightening. After polishing the end for three minutes with a rotary tool everything worked beautifully. I consider this only a minor inconvenience, especially when considering the substantial savings over the genuine Toyota tool.

Great tool. Easy to use. Perfect for people with mild arthritis.
I'm used to the plier type clamp pliers, which SUCK!!!!. These however are great and easy to use. Doesn't require any strength.

Cheaper than replacing an axle for sure!
This worked perfectly for my weekend project of rebanding my cv axle boot on my Mazdaspeed 6. It's a little awkward to use two 1/2 drivers to get leverage but it works great. Saved me a lot of money which always makes me happy.

Está hecho de un muy buen material, cumple su función. Por tanto facilita mucho el trabajo, más que las pinzas que son para lo mismo.

2011 Toyota Sienna CV boots. I purchased the OEM CV boot kit with clamps. Pros: This tool tightened the clamps easily and correctly. I was surprised how little force was needed with a 13mm box end wrench on the tool bolt. The clamp crimp looks just like it was factory installed. I tightened the RH inner boot after I installed the axle onto the cross shaft so I wouldn’t have to deal with that nasty cross shaft bearing. There isn’t a lot of room but the tool fit in the space no problem. Tool is made of good quality material. No sign of fatigue or wear after eight clamps, and should last indefinitely for a DYIer. Cons: The two set screws that hold the jaws are loose and could be a problem with jaw alignment if they get too loose. I used thread locking fluid on both screws. On the jaw opposite the bolt, I tightened it completely against the stopper, because this jaw doesn’t need to move when clamping. On the other jaw I set the screw so the jaw would slide with very little play. Now both jaws stay aligned. The bolt threads and jaw sliding surfaces were dry, so I lubricated all moving parts. The bolt looks like any off-the-shelf bolt with an unfinished and rough end. I could see it digging into the jaw as the bolt was rotating which caused friction and damage to the jaw. I sanded down the end of the bolt so it is smooth, square, and flat and added some lube. Now the bolt rotates smoothly. Conclusion: The mods didn’t take long and are easy to perform. If the manufacturer had done these mods, it would have received five stars. After these small mods, the tool performed very well and I do recommend to any DYIer.
