The MOST beautiful and realistic moss I've ever seen!
THIS is one of the most unique products I've bought on Amazon. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but this is the MOST beautiful, realistic moss I've ever seen. You just have to spend a little time to "unpack" it. Here's what I found worked: 1) Put on gloves. This stuff WILL spread green on your hands. 2) Work over your kitchen sink, it will scatter all over once it starts expanding. 3) It comes in a kind of layer cake. It looks small, but yields a lot. Get a spray bottle with warm water. Start spraying the outside of the cake with the water. 4) Work at the top of the cake with your fingernails (in gloves!) It will start to peel off in layers. 5) Spray each layer a little more, then pull it off. **Have a colander ready to receive the pieces you pull off- line it with a paper towel. 6) Fluff up the pieces you pull off. 7) Continue working the top layer of the cake until you have the amount you need. 7) Place the colander with the moss out in the sun to dry for an hour or so. You could also use a blow dryer if no sun is available. Note: I know some folks have commented on the smell, but I found it to smell like fresh spinach when wet. Not a big deal. The smell was gone once it dried. Is it worth this preparation? YES!!! The result looks like freshly gathered real moss, straight from the forest. It looks great at the base of artificial plants and in a terrarium. I only used about 1/4 of it and wrapped up the remainder in Glad Wrap. I appreciated the nice note that came with the moss from the owner of this small, family-owned company. Just get it! The shades of green are natural, nuanced, and look absolutely real.

Good for filler
Exactly what I was looking for! This is for the base of my olive tree and it expands to a good amount. Vibrancy of the color is nice! good quality!

Looks beautiful!
Used it make my faux plant look real. Filled the bot with paper bags and used a glue gun to glue down a layer of moss. You get a WHOLE lot for the price. I have more than enough to do a plant or two more. I followed the directions provided for rehydrating the moss. I dried it in my sunroom. The greenery smell from the natural dye is a bit strong when went so outside, a garage, or sunroom is the best place to let it dry. Once dry you can smell it if you purposely sniff it but it doesn’t smell up the room or anything. Love the product. The only thing I was confused about is I bought it because it says it was faux but it seems real to me LOL maybe it’s just take good or I am confused. Either way it worked really well for my intended purposes.

Realistic dried moss
I have only just tried this moss for my craft and I like the way it looks, but it is a bit fragile for what I do. I will keep working with it because it has a much more natural look to it than the preserved moss.

Great quality moss
Repeat buyer. You get a lot for your money. Comes vacuum packed. Pull apart the moss gently & you’ll find there is a lot of volume in one little brick. Colors are beautiful & vivid & it’s not fake like a lot of craft store mosses.

Flys
The moss was hard as a rock in a brick. It seemed fine once we fluffed it. My 7tear old made a fairytale miniature garden around our house plants. It was adorable… until a week later when flys started hatching. I couldn’t understand until it dawned on me the moss!! Now I’ve lost 10 house plants because they are all infested,as my daughter had lined the moss on the surface on the house plants for the fairy garden effect. I’ve killed dozens of flys. I wish I had purchased fake moss.

Beautiful, but has an odor.
While the directions warn about the dye, I didn't wear gloves like suggested and my fingers turned a light green color (that didn't wash off) from touching the moss. The moss itself comes compressed and is really pretty when reconstituted with a little spray of warm water. I put it on top of the soil in my houseplants to help hold in the moisture. However, the moss has an unpleasant odor. I'm hoping it doesn't last long because, if it does last a long time, I will have to get rid of it.

Great
Some of the best moss I’ve bought. Needed filter for centerpieces and it was a perfect green. I allowed it to soak for a while and it turned out to be a lot more than I was expecting. Careful though it might stain your fingertips green.

Very Green and Fluffy
Very good quality and easy to work with. Wear gloves as the dye will stain hands. It’s a very dyed moss so I wondered if the moss might look too artificially green compared to the real plants but it seems to look good. It’s pure moss. I found one tiny wood chip but otherwise no contaminants which was great. The handwritten note from Lucy was a nice touch to show they care about their product.

Just add water!
The perfect shade of moss for my projects!! Make sure you wear gloves when soaking in water as some of the dye comes off but it’s expands wonderfully and I have plenty for future projects
