Good quality, works well
This is made of very good quality and stands up wonderfully to being used frequently! It is easy to set up and put into place, it holds your pieces easily allowing them to be worked on with ease! Perfect size for counter top while allowing all sized blades to be worked on! Great value for the money!

Not as advertised
The ad clearly says that the fixture will have carbide faces for use on a belt grinder:"File Guide with Carbide Surface For Belt Sander.."There's no carbide anywhere on this fixture. It's 100% hardened steel, and that's of no use to me.Update:They sent me an identical fixture to the one I've rejected. HOW DOES THAT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM? Either these characters are painfully ignorant about the difference between hardened steel and carbide... or they are willingly involving their company in fraudulent advertising.I've contacted a human at Amazon, who is escalating this issue.. especially since there have been so many complaints and returns. Now I've got to return two of these POS.

Very helpful tool
This is a very helpful tool in grinding knifes I'm very happy with the quality and it is a good purchase.

Not hard enough
The material is too soft. Does not skate a file. Within 5 minutes of using it with a normal file, there are already gouges in the material, it'll be out of square and useless in just a few more uses. I might be able to reflatten it, but it's pretty disappointing. Hard to tell in the photo, but there is already the start of notch that i can feel the height difference with my fingernail. This is after less than 10 passes of my file.
