So far so good, it's very nice

This is a heavy duty D lock/U lock, which feels solid and very well made. It has a good sturdy weight to it but not too heavy or big to carry in a bag. I really like the combination lock feature which means you won’t lose the key! It’s easy to change the combination number, but you do need a tiny cross head screwdriver to open the reset button cover. There is a dust proof cover over the combination numbers, which is opened by sliding a little switch at the bottom of the lock. The numbers are very clear and easy to turn. A large button releases the shackle which is thick and feels smooth, as if coated with a slightly rubberised material. It should be big enough to secure a bike frame to a standard size cycle rack, or 2 bike frames together, which is how I’m using it when storing our bikes in the shed! It is smaller than my previous D lock, so I’d recommend you check size required. Shackle size (approximately) 16.5cm long, 10cm wide from the inner sections and 1.6cm thick, see photos. The price reflects the quality!

Had it for only 2 1/2 months, already impossible to open even though the correct combination is being used.

I rather like this. I have one already that uses a key, and I'm always concerned that I might lose the key if I lock it anywhere while out and about... hey presto this one has a combination you can set which means no key to lose! Setting the combination is as easy as any padlock or briefcase that has similar. On this one there's a little plastic cover on the setting lever which you remove to do it. I think the cover's there to help keep stuff like rain out, or to prevent you accidentally catching the setting lever when handling it in an unlocked state. Nice touch though. The lock itself seems every bit as strong and robust as any I have here, giving me a sense of assurance that it will stop opportunists from walking off with my bike, and I'd bet it would notably slow down even the most determined thief as it's really rather tough. I also tried "picking" the combination and found it's one of those that's not easy to figure out. I've had some cheap ones that I can "pick" blindfolded, but this one is pretty good. In fact I wasn't able to! I also like that it has a pop open cover over the combination wheels too, it keeps it looking plain and tidy when in place and keeps out some of the rain too. Overall, to coin a phrase, I can't fault it. It ticks every box for me thus the 5 stars.

Die Lieferung erfolgte zugüg in angemessener Verpackung, d.h. kein übermässiger Verpackungsmüll. Die Code-Einstellung war dank der Bebilderung und des Videos einfach. Die Zahlen sind gut lesbar und gut zu verstellen. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass dieses Schloss nicht so feuchtigkeits- und kälteempfindlich ist wie die Bügelschlösser mit Schlüssel. Das bleibt abzuwarten. Das Gewicht ist angenehm, nicht zu schwer, nicht zu leicht. Die Größe des Bügels ist für meine Bedürfnisse okay, wenn auch etwas kleiner als mein voriges Bügelschloss. Es reicht aus, um das Fahrrad vor meinen Haus an die dortige Farradbefestigung anzuschließen.
