They are considerably more expensive but when it comes to your cats health you cannot pay too much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So much better than the Cat Mate *by W***H on 29 December 2025* We had a Cat Mate water fountain for our two cats for several years but found it very difficult to clean as it was full of unnecessary nooks and crannies that trapped dirt and were almost impossible to get at. So when the 2nd pump failed, we decided to try the PetKit and what a difference! Apart from being able to lift the parts you need to clean away from the base containing the electrical bits, the design is a simple box with curves rather than corners and is so quick and easy to clean. The filters seem to cope better too as there is far less of a slimy feel to the sides when it is time for a regular clean. The flow of water is much better and I've noticed that our cats drink from it for more often than they did the Cat Mate. Also there are flashing lights to warn if the water needs topping up.
