Finally! Propane tank gages that tell you what you've always wanted to know
How much propane is left in my tank(s)?These gages were easy to install on our tanks and easy to connect to my iPhone. It's wonderful to know how much actual propane is in the RV tanks before heading out camping. No more taking off the tank cover, unclamping the tank hold down, lifting and shaking the tanks and then trying to guess if its time to fill them or not.I initially bought two for our 30 lb RV tanks, and like them so well that I just bought two more, one for the 20 lb propane BBQ tank and one for the 20 lb propane fire bowl tank. The same gages work for multiple tank sizes, so you can easily move them from one tank size to another. Some reviews complained about battery life so I've set mine to the longest interval between automatic inquiries, and I turn off the app on my iPhone except when I'm checking tank levels, hoping that will stop the communication attempts from the tanks and make the batteries last longer. Haven't had them long enough to experience any battery issues.

Multiple type and size tank reader
Easy setup. Just works. Downloaded the app, pushed the sync button—paired. Did that 4 times for 4 sensors. No issues over the last six months of use. Want personalization? You can setup each tank sensor with names, how often it updates, manually specify tank size, and more.I also purchased the Mopeka Gauge display and Bluetooth/WiFi Bridge. I don’t have to use my phone with the Gauge but it’s a simple push/button check. Personally, I find myself using my phone mostly, which is where the Bridge has worked flawlessly for checking remotely (not at home within Bluetooth range). Full-Time RVers: get this system.I had a tank on the ground during freezing/thawing weather. Water got into a sensor and broke it. I ordered one of the newer sensors that does more than just propane. It took me 5 seconds to pair the new sensor and 30 more seconds to name, specify tank size, read timers, and more.Note: I did find that while remotely checking, I would have to, from the Account tab, tap the Location symbol to change it to a Cloud symbol, then immediately change them back, to get a readout. Took all of a few seconds.Note2: Create an account after downloading the app to use the remote capability. Local Bluetooth only use does not require an account.

Great product!
This works great and is easy to use. There are plenty of YouTube vids if you need help syncing the sensor to your phone or the little LED receiver. Turns out I didn't need the rubber ring spacers because the kit with sensors has spacers that can be used or not. The magnets are strong, but for extra security I also use the plastic stick on universal fit holders. Very happy with this purchase. I can very accurately see the propane levels on my camping trailer.

The sensor does not sit flush on the bottom of tank due to tank surface being curved
The sensors seem to be working great in my driveway. My concern is whether they will hold once I get on the hwy. The bottom of the tank is curved so the sensors don't sit completely flat on the bottom of the tank. I don't think the magnets have a solid connection to the tank so they might bounce loose when I get some bumps. the highways here in CO can be bad with the extreme weather we get and therefore some of them have a lot of patch work that gets quite bumpy and rough. So these sensors might shake loose rolling down the hwy. Now, my set up has a full tray bottom with a lip and the tanks are down tight so I don't think the sensors will be lost, just might pop loose. I don't know if there is a way to mold the sensors with a slight curve so they sit better on the tank bottom but we will see how well these hold in place on our next camping trip.

These sensors are game changers
These Mopeka sensors work well and add a new level of convenience to monitoring propane levels. There was a period where this new Universal model was incompatible with the Victron Cerbo GX, but I am happy to report that this situation has been resolved. I can check the levels using the Mopeka app; and they now show up on the Cerbo as well. How far we've come from having to pop open the propane compartment and look at a gauge that may or may not be accurate.A few installation tips:— The process is very easy; however, you will be asked to position the sensor so its position appears inside a little circle that shows in the Mopeka app. I've never seen anyone successfully do this, either in person or in a YouTube video. It seems like the best one can expect is for the position indicator to be touching the little circle. Don't sweat this. Everything will still work. I ended up using a ruler to position the sensor.— My least favorite thing about this product is the fact that there is nothing to hold it in the spot that you've so carefully measured out. The sensor has pretty powerful magnets to hold it to the tank, but once you lube it up with dielectric grease it will slide around on the tank's surface. Annoying. Mopeka does offer a collar that can be stuck on the bottom of your LPG tank with 3M VHB tape to lock the sensor into position. This is what I have done. (The company makes two different collars. Make sure you get the one for LPG tanks.)— These sensors come with three little aluminum spacers designed to clip to the bottom of your tank in order to provide extra clearance. You may or may not need them. I did. These spacers can come loose. I would suggest using an adhesive/sealant to lock them in place. Also, these will definitely scratch up whatever the tank is sitting on.— For those needing spacers but not wanting to scratch up their propane tank compartment, Mopeka offers the "Halo", a plastic ring that goes on the bottom of your tank. These will also need to be attached with an adhesive/sealant if you want them to stay on. Unfortunately, these Halos offer less additional clearance compared to the free aluminum spacers. If you choose to use the collar I mentioned earlier, the Halos probably won't work for you. They didn't for me. Seems like this is something that Mopeka should have been able to anticipate.— Keep in mind that these spacers protect your Pro Check sensor when it's sitting on a flat surface. The teenage kid filling your tank can still set the tank down on an uneven surface or a rock and crush it. And if this kid drags the tank on the ground and knocks off one of the spacers, the sensor could get damaged on a flat surface. Bottom line: pay attention when someone else is handling your LPG tank.I'm tempted to deduct a star due to the incompatibility between the Mopeka Halos and the collars but this is a review of the sensor itself, so I won't. These sensors are game changers. I love them and I recommend these as the best solution for anyone with a propane tank they want to monitor. Five stars.
