Are they really airtight?

No they are not. I actually replace them with something different. They are nice because the stack on top of each other, but they are not airtight. I bought https://www.amazon.com/Prepworks-Progressive-ProKeeper-Air-Tight-Storage/dp/B016MZSSCI/ref=psdc_3744021_t3_B000MWTI0O and they are great, but quite a bit bigger than this product

Do the bottom two sections seal somehow? or they just sit on top of each other and will come off if you lift in the middle?
