Denso IGN WIRE SET-5MM - 671-6182

Quality Denso wires for a Toyota 3.4 liter V6. Used these when I had a factory wire burn arc through the number 6 cylinder after 220k miles. Just remember this is only 3 wires. The passenger side uses tubes (not included in this kit) that are attached to the coils.

This set replaced perfectly the original equipment wires on my 1996 4Runner (I had purchased the last set from Toyota about 7 years ago). These wires are the same quality but less than half the price. The spiral insulating wrap is not present on these but it's easy enough to swap from the original wires. The number 3 wire on my OE set had two extra rubber insulators that were not present on this set, but they are probably not necessary. These wires are not numbered (as the OE set are) but the lengths are correct so it's easy enough to match them up to the correct coils and spark plugs. Incidentally, the numbers on the OE wires correspond to the coils on the passenger side, not the cylinders on the driver's side. The wire set includes installation instructions and a packet of silicone grease to lubricate the spark plug boots so be sure to use it. Just remove and install one wire at a time and you should have no problems installing these. It took me about an hour to install these but I'm slow. I got 100,000 miles out of my last set of OE wires and spark plugs and my 4Runner was still running great but it was time to replace them.

I wanted to update my review, as I was incorrect. When I was shipped only three cables I assumed that the product was misrepresented and they really required two sets of wires. What I learned when I actually when to install the wires was that the 4runner/tacoma 3rd gens only have 3 wires. The ignition coils actually connect directly to plug 2,4, 6 can they each have another connect for the plug wires to go to plugs 1, 3, 5. So if you wanted to replace everything, you would need to get 3 new ignition coils as well, as the description vaguely describes. Original Review "This only contains three wires. Not six as the Amazon Car matching would lead you to believe, or the image, which shows four wires. Another reviewer had this same issue, but I believe that this is an issue with the listing, not the product, though the box does not list contents."

Have held strong after changing them. No issues after 4k miles. Worth it 👍
