Superb quaility and design from Brabantia
Quality product with well thought out design features. Clamps easily and securely to back of ironing board, fully ajustable clamp, should fit any model (my board isn't Brabantia). Tall wire keeps flex out of the way as you iron and secure clip at the top keeps flex secure with a smooth, rounded top (to ensure you don't poke yourself in the eye!). Really does save time and frustration as flex doesn't ruck clothes as you iron. Folds down easily after use. Just a small concern, my iron cord is quite thick,so I have to push it into the clamp at the top of the wire quite hard, which may cause fraying after a while. Still well worth 5-stars for the quality and price.

Such a useful item!
If it's possible to love a iron flex guide, then I do! I'm pretty sure it will fit most ironing boards and most irons although it's possible that there might be exceptions. This is a really useful item which holds the flex up high. The only thing I don't like is that I can't leave the clamp on the board all the time and have to put it on each time I do ironing but I can live with that!

Design has changed and has gone from being very good, to being rubbish for my needs
I’ve had this model of flex guide for years, using it with regular steam irons and, more recently with steam generators. In truth, it wasn’t really suitable for steam generators as the holder was not wide enough, but it did the job, until a week ago, my old one broke. It really wasn’t big enough. I had no hesitation buying a direct replacement, except this isn’t a direct replacement, despite appearances. Firstly the board clamp is much bigger, so it doesn’t fit the board the same - the board doesn’t close fully with it fitted. Not to worry, it closes close to completely, I’ll just move the storage position. Second: The flex holder has been rotated 90 degrees from the old one. I needed to move the holder through 90degrees to combat that. Now it doesn’t fold along th length of the board. I have to detach it and move it just to put the board away. Not good and a bit of a hassle, but no biggie. Third, and this is the deal breaker, the flex holder no longer holds the flex securely. It pops out every few seconds and makes it useless. No doubt, it wasn’t designed for my type of steam generator, but neither was it’s predecessor. After 1 fruitless use, I have consigned this to the good idea but folder and have ordered something else. If you have a steam generator, you might wish to avoid this like the plague

Good enough but not as good as the original design
I cannot remember who made the original one but the flex of the iron ran up through what looked like a long coiled spring which was secured to the ironing board and the spring bent whatever way was necessary when ironing. As to the packing. The support for the iron was the thickness of a knitting needle and 2 foot long or so, yet it arrived in a box about 4 foot by 3. Bravely manhandled to my door by the delivery man, the bottom of the box was soaking wet and disintegrated when we touched it. At first we both thought the box was empty as we could not feel anything inside it -then amazed on discovering this thin 'knitting needle' crouched in a corner!

Near Perfect
This little widget makes ironing so much easier. No more will the iron flex pull the bottom of the shirt you're ironing off the board as you iron the top. The reason I say nearly perfect is that for this device to work as intended, it needs to be attached to the back of the iron board support platform (otherwise it won't fold down the length of the board and will stick out sideways when you collapse the board to put it away). The rod needs to be another couple of inches higher (or the flex on the iron, certainly my iron, needs to be slightly longer) to enable the iron to comfortably reach the end of the board.

Love Quality from Brabantia
I have always used a very old flex guide inherited from my mother because I couldn't find a good modern one. This Brabantia is good quality and does the job perfectly. It folds down for easy storage and I would assume it would fit almost any ironing board. I know from past experience with the company; if there was ever an issue with it Brabantia would give excellent service.

Great gadget
This flex holder totally transforms the ironing experience! I used to have such a gadget years ago and lost it, then tried a plastic one which broke immediately. A Google search found this Brabantia cord holder and although only supposed to fit onto Brabantia ironing boards (which mine isn't) it does actually clamp on and stay in place OK. Perhaps not as solidly made as my original, but it's infinitely better than the previous plastic one. It really does take the frustration out of ironing, when your cord keeps getting stuck somewhere and slows down the process. Recommended.

Great product
Really excellent holds cord in place so not constantly having to adjust it makes ironing so much better
