Love this design by Snecx. For the money this is an impressive knife. Nitro V steel in this price range seems appropriate, the locking system is unique and innovative. Solid feel, blade shape, sharp edge, etc. love it.

One of the best Civivi models ever, in my opinion. This knife simply has all of the features that you could want. A great utilitarian blade shape. Comfortable ergonomics. Ambidextrous locking system. Decent starting price for what you get. And the sweet spot of size, not too big, not too small. The knife's action is superb, and the blade is extremely sharp out of the box. And a little bit more on the locking system. The SuperLock is a creation of the designer of this model, Snecx. It is up there with the shark lock or atlas lock (iykyk).

The Vision FG is a joy to handle, fidget and admire the overall beauty. The Superlock is a great design innovation and I suspect future knife designers will capitalize on. Much has been said in online reviews about the *terrible" clip. Because no two hands or grip positions are alike, a hotspot could occur for some. It doesn't for me. But to be proactive I ordered the Civivi Titanium clip off Amazon prior to knife arrival and will swap it out for Titanium. (The Vision FG will use the "A" pack that comes w/ the clip, #8 torx) The knife came in flawless condition with the exception of blade centering and a stiff action which I tweaked and it now fidgets fantastically. The knife fills the hand very comfortably, feels solid and beefy. The G10's are grippy. This is my 3rd Civivi w/ Damascus; the Yonder & Mini Praxis. This Vision Damascus out classes those even though they are quite good. This is a purchase I have no regrets over, love it and highly recommend. A very substantial knife, razor sharp too.

I bought the Damascus version of this knife. I was worried about the blade quality. When I know what specific steel a knife is made in, it pretty much tells me what to expect with regards to blade performance. That is, except Damascus. This is so because there is no transparency as to the steels that make up the Damascus and there are no industry standards as far as heat treatment for it. However, once I got it, I was well satisfied with the blade performance. I cut lots of multiple materials putting the knife through its paces. It is sharp enough to cut paper like a razor blade. It cuts through corrugated cardboard almost effortlessly. And my veggies are diced in a flash! After a while, I noticed the performance degrading a little, but not seriously. A quick stropping with green compound restored it to factory condition. After that, I went for extra sharpness. I polished the edge on a 5000 grit stone and then stropped with a piece of leather treated with 10,000 grit diamond paste. After that, I was able to shave without any razor burn. I don't recommend this to anyone, but I am now confident that the blade takes an extra sharp edge and holds the edge reasonably well. As to the rest of the knife, it is typical for Civivi. That is, the build quality, the fit and finish, and the quality of the materials used are first rate for a knife that costs (slightly) less than $100. The locking mechanism is a new one for me, and it took a little getting used to, but it works really well. It can takes a little too much pressure to operate the lock for my index finger, but it is more than manageable with my thumb. Also, it works well left and right handed. This knife is really fun to fidget with now that I have experienced the new to me lock design. The pivot and lock are such that it is possible to close it without the blade bouncing a little when it hits the bottom. Many knives are not like that; for these I just have to live with the annoying sound of blade hitting the bottom and bouncing. The appearance of the knife is even better than I expected from the pictures. I just love the off-white G10 scales against the mostly black appearance of the blade. Also, the Damascus pattern of the blade is just beautiful. The only beef I have with this knife is the "Designed By Snex" branding on the blade. Fortunately, in Damascus, the writing is mostly camouflaged. Also, I feel this knife could improve a tiny bit by putting jimping on the top back side of the blade. The top of the lock is jimped, but that is too far back. My thumb wants to rest on the top of the blade, not on top of the lock actuator because I have large hands. These are super minor issues for me. While this knife was a little pricey for me, I feel I got a great value. This knife is more than good enough for EDC. That being said, I would have some concerns about using this knife in a survival role. Perhaps my opinion could change after some hard use of this knife. For the time being, this knife is just too pretty for hard use. In short, I absolutely love this knife.

Going to start with the negatives because there are only 2 and they are very minor. The super lock will make your finger sore pretty quick. This is a very fidgety knife and the lock is stiff. While it may make your finger sore, it does give you confidence that the lock is strong. My only other complaint is the pocket clip is the standard skeletonized civivi clip and it being off center is sort of weird and makes the knife hang different in the pocket. This knife is awesome!! One of the smoothest action I have seen and a super cool lock!! The whole knife is solid. Built like a tank with a super slicey blade. While the knife was decently sharp, I reprofiled to 17degrees per side and finished with 4 micron emulsion. Nitro V takes a very nice edge and easy to work with. The overall size while on the larger side of my preferred edc size, it is proper for this blade and configuration. Feels very natural in the hand. I have been very impressed with Civivi and this knife is the best yet in my opinion. I was very excited when I first saw the Vision FG. Very glad I purchased one. This is alot of knife with a super cool lock at a very reasonable price. I really like the AD20.5, but at this price for a Vision, I would take the Civivi hands down.

I'll start off with I love Civivi knives and I think they are setting a new bench mark in the industry for their knives considering their cost. The Vision FG is an excellent knife that without a doubt is fidgeters dream. I purchased the blacked out blade with Ultem scales variant and am pleased with how it looks. Package arrived quickly and thankfully undamaged. Typical Civivi style with the soft case, cleaning cloth, and myriad of stickers, which is always a nice touch. The Vision FG for its price point is going to be a strong contender for best knife of the year under $100. For me, I can't jump on that train. Yes the smart lock feature is cool and unique, it is nitro-v steel which is great/excellent mid-grade steel, the Ultem handles have a cool factor and are finished in matte sheen with angled striations. This gives you a good purchase on the handle with minimal hotspots (clip) for extended use. I do not think this would make a good knife for extended use however. Great for short daily task and of course with nitro-v its possible to get an impressive edge. It also helps that the blade has a large hollow grind on it giving it that super slicey, eyebrow raising fun factor. The smart lock feature I'm on the fence with. It's fun, cool, and very strong but it rattles and that drives me nuts. Maybe just me, but anytime I hear a knife Rattle I think cheap as hell, and this knife rattling made me feel the same way lol. Dont get me wrong the quality is there and fit and finish is typical Civivi which means top shelf for production style knives. The rattling is only in the smart lock and it only rattles when the blade is closed. Moving on, the action on the knife is excellent as well. Outside of the rattling my biggest complaint would be the pocket clip. This isn't a dig at the Vision FG its a dig at Civivi in general. Your pocket clips suck guys, hope your listening. Civivi does offer an aftermarket titanium clip that is pretty cheap and works perfectly. Which should be on all their knives. Which I've purchased for all my Civivi's...again get on it guys. At anyrate, I do like the Vision FG and love it's fidgetability factor, nitro-v blade steel, and overall quality. I definitely recommend this especially if you're a collector/enthusiast or want something ingenuitive and different. Hard to wrong with a Civivi period.

Love every single thing about it the blade came super really sharp the micarta handles is really nice not too rough the size of the blade is just how I like it , the pattern on the Damascus blade looks beautiful pictures really don’t do it justice in person it’s a beauty worth every dollar I spent. The build quality is amazing just feeling it and opening it you can tell alot went into this knife really really smooth action first knife I own with a super lock and it’s really strong and fidgety that’s the best part for my adhd lol

I'm a collector and bought the Vision primarily because of the different lock design. It's initially odd pulling on the back spacer to close the knife, but it's reliable with very solid lockup. An excellent and unique knife with good steel and unique appearance for well under $100.
