How much oil in ML does this hold please?

Not sure. It has a reasonable reservoir, and I have filled it with a bottle of Anchor watch oil. Neither the oiler nor the watch oil bottle have their volume stated, although I would guess both are around 10ml. A useful tool but I have only used it so far for clocks - not delicate enough for watches.

Is the oil supplied suitable for sewing machines?

Yes the oil within the pen is perfect for sewing machines ,but use sparingly as it will even out and and covers required area very well make sure to put the fine tip of the pen right to the point of where you wish to lubricate it will carry itself along the mechanism. Hope this is of help to you.
