5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! Best unit tested! Seamless integration, easy to use, and a free management app!
Short answer: 5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! I purchased this unit for use in a 2021 Lexus RC 350 equipped with a Mark Levinson stereo w/wired factory Android Auto (AA)/Apple Car Play (ACP) support, and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g. I've used the phone with many other Bluetooth connections including a USA-Spec BT45 Bluetooth adapter in my 07 GS 350. The RC's AA/ACP works seamlessly with the S20 5+ using the wired connection. Pros: • The unit sets up easily (plug and play as promised) and paired seamlessly with my Samsung S20+ 5g. • Port connection vs. hard-wired USB cable allows the use of longer cable supporting more placement options. • It starts up quickly and within 15 seconds of engine start my playlist is playing. • Sound quality is equivalent to my Lexus factory Bluetooth connection. • Rapid response and full compatibility with my Lexus Touchscreen. ZERO lag and access to all sections of the screen. • Full preservation of existing screen function. No replaced menu items. • Flush USB C connection port allows the use of any compatible cable • AA *AND* ACP support • Manufacturer-provided management and configuration app • Updates in-place via mobile phone. Does not have to be removed from the vehicle. • Value – the most expensive unit but the best-running, fullest featured, and only one app-supported. Cons • Price - most expensive unit tested Summary: This is “The Keeper”. It works every bit as well as the Anyfar, and addresses both of the issues I had with it. It supports ACP, which was a requirement for me. It has a flush USB port which allows me to use any of my many USB A-USB C cables to stash the dongle in the dash near my phone mount for the shortest wireless connection path. I also really like the app. It supports basic configuration and performance functions and it gives you some visibility into what’s happening with the device. The ability to update-in-place is a nice touch. As noted above, I plan to place the device in-dash to preserve what little storage space Lexus gives us in the RC’s console. Update-in-place ensures I won’t have to go into the dash to perform updates. Finally, while ‘Price is a con’, value is a definite “Pro”. Application support isn’t free, and price is not advantage if it doesn’t meet your needs…..

Works well in 2020 Honda Odyssey
I thought Apple Carplay was a gamechanger back in 2020 when I got my Honda Odyssey, but when my husband got a newer vehicle with _wireless_ Carplay, I was jealous. This device wasn't cheap, but it was significantly cheaper than buying a new car! Other reviews helped me temper my expectations, and I'm very happy with this device. Yes, the interface that you see on your monitor while it's connecting looks a little sketchy, and yes, it takes 10ish seconds to connect each time you get in the car (it's usually done by the time I back out of my driveway if I don't want to wait for it), yes about 1 time out of 10 I might have to go into Apple settings to reconnect the bluetooth, and yes, there's a consistent 3-4 second delay that's noticeable when you use commands like pause and skip. With those limitations it's hard to give a 5-star review. But all in all, it's totally worth every penny. Add a magnetic charging mount and never have to fumble with plugs again!

Do the software update on the device before first use - works just fine after that
I recently purchased the Carlinkit 5.0 Adapter, and I have to say, it does exactly what its advertised to do no my 2022 Rav4! The seamless connection to my car's infotainment system is fantastic, allowing me to access my iPhone via CarPlay effortlessly. However, I do want to emphasize the importance of performing a software update before first use. Although it’s a simple step, until it was done, my cars software just kept restarting. I wish it was easy plug and play and it would update in the background but it's not a deal breaker. The process was straightforward, and once I completed it, everything worked flawlessly. However, I wonder how someone who is not tech savvy would have managed!!! Overall, the Carlinkit 5.0 Adapter is a game-changer, but don't skip that crucial update—it makes all the difference! Highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their in-car technology.

Stopped working surprisingly fast
I rarely write reviews, but I feel I should share my experience with this product. I bought this wireless CarPlay adapter because the features and price seemed good. It worked fine at first, but to my surprise, it stopped working in less than 6 months — it simply wouldn’t power on anymore. I contacted support, but the response was slow and didn’t lead to a solution. In the end, I had to go through Amazon to get a refund, which fortunately was handled smoothly. I’m not writing this to complain, just to provide honest feedback. I hope the manufacturer can improve the quality and reliability, because the idea and convenience of the product are great — it just needs better durability.

Does the job, but not great!
The Carlink Wireless 5.0 works but not great. It loses connection at times and takes a good minute when reconnecting to paired IPhone. Overall better than having a cable but it should have better and faster software. It also doesn’t support any video streaming.

Works great, easy to set up
This device does exactly what it's intended to do. It allows me to use the wired Apple CarPlay in my car without taking my phone out of my pocket. The initial setup took less than a minute. I just plugged it in to the appropriate USB outlet in my car, Bluetooth paired to it with my phone, and it was ready to go. My biggest fear with it was that phone calls might have serious degradation, because I had read that these type of devices generally cause a significant delay, but I can confirm that there is no noticeable delay on phone calls, and CarPlay works great with my GPS app and my music plays great. The only issue we have had is when two phones that have paired with it are present, it sometimes pairs with the phone we don't want it to pair with and there isn't an easy way to switch, other than turning Bluetooth off on the phone we don't want to be paired with it. But I don't think there's really any easy way to get around that issue without adding significant expense to the device. So I am super happy with this adapter and how it works in my car.

Used this device to support Wireless CarPlay on a 2023 Kia Nero EV. In my car you connect via the larger USB A socket not the smaller USB C. Plugged the device into the USB A, connected to my phone via Bluetooth. The cars infotainment detected the CarPlay, followed the prompts on screen and the iPhone. Works great. Had a couple of drop outs in the first 10mins of usage but has since worked fine. Used the double sided sticky tape to place the device out of the way. Very happy with the purchase.

No need to update. Just plug & play. The extremely small manual is for people with perfect eyes. Other people should use magnifying glasses. 🤓 I made a picture with my phone and enlarged it. Actually there's no need for a manual but, of course, you only know this after reading the manual. 😃

Amazing product. Really smooth connection everytime I start the car. Very rarely it might get disconnected rarely. But overall it's really good. Highly recommended
