Ozeri Pro II Digital Kitchen Scale with Removable Glass Platform and Countdown Kitchen Timer (1 g to 12 lbs Capacity)

We chose this scale as a replacement for a Salter that we'd had for years. We looked at the equivalent Salter ones which had had a lot of people complaining about quality, and someone there recommended the Ozeri brand as an alternative. After looking through the Ozeri reviews we were very sold on the customer service which is always reassuring when trying a new brand. The scale we were sent doesn't look exactly like the one in the photograph - ours has a glass top, but it's not as issue - it looks just as good. I like the fact that there's a raised platform because it helps when weighing things on plates that would otherwise hide the reading. The scale responds quickly, tares as required, and measures accurately up to 5kg. It also gives you 3 minutes before it switches off automatically, even if the reading is negative, which is great if you need to lift your bowl off for whatever reason, or need to spend some time wrestling open the next packet of ingredients. This is one of the few models we've found that take AAA batteries and we like that feature because AAA's are easier to get hold of than the Lithium coin batteries and there's the potential for rechargeables too. We did conclude that it doesn't really need to have 4 separate unit-settings (grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds), but it's not a big deal, we just use the ones we need. Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase.

These are an alturnative to the old fashioned scales I have .I wanted something that could show smaller weights in a simple way. I 'm on a diet so am weighing everything and these scales are very easy to use and very helpfull in the kitchen.

Great scales but just died after 4 years, would have liked longer but perhaps I’m being greedy!

Started the 5:2 Fast Diet so thought I should invest in some scales to make weighing exact amounts easier than using my old fashioned type. I was looking for scales that were lightweight, compact, easy to use, inexpensive and nice to look at too. These scales ticked all the boxes and more. I love the added bonus of being able to weigh food in containers and it takes account of the weight of the container - very clever and dead easy to use. There's also a timer on there on which is a nice to have however I haven't used that facility yet. Very easy to skip between different weight measurements. They are so light and sleek design they fit neatly in my kitchen drawer. I saw some very similar ones in a posh kitchen shop in Guildford (solar powered) @ £30 so these are a great buy. Would definitely recommend.

I chose these for two main reasons. One they were small for my small kitchen but weigh up to 12 lbs.Second they are powered by AAA batteries which are cheaper and easier to obtain than the round disc ones.My husband thought the black & mirror finish was vey smart. They arrived 3 days earlier than expected which was great as that weekend I was planning to do a lot of baking. They worked well and the Tare option meant I could weigh everything into my mixing bowl. Haven't found any fault with them yet.Hope that continues!

My review at the bottom is actually for the old model with the plastic top not the glass. It was much better. The glass topped one is very unreliable. You put something on it and half the time, after a few seconds it starts to loss grams. Ie put something on it that weighs 100g and it slowly goes 99..98..97..96..95. Tap the top and it's back to 100g again. Very annoying. Review for old model with plastic top: Excellent small scale for the price. I use it everyday as I weigh things for a calorie controlled diet. I wanted a scale which used ordinary batteries and this is perfect. Very easy to use. Thoroughly recommend.

These scales are small and neat and therefore very easy to store in a drawer. They are accurate to one gram and it's so easy to use the add and weigh (tare) feature and to swap between imperial and metric. Don't know now why on earth I persevered so long with my old Balance Scales, these digital ones are far better! Good price too.

This is a very good little digital scale. The tare button allows you to weight your ingredients in any size bowl or plate very useful if you are counting calories. My husband is on the 5-2 diet and this scale is making this easy to follow because of its accuracy. Its size is great as it is so neat and fits into a cupboard or does not look out of place tucked in the corner of a worktop. All in all a great little appliance, will not be afraid to buy any Ozeri product again.

Bueno llevo unos días ya con la báscula en la cocina, tiene un diseño moderno y encaja perfectamente además no es demasiado grande así que si no hay mucho espacio en la cocina es el complemento perfecto. No soy un experto pero para el uso de cocina parece bastante precisa.

Die Ozeri Küchenwaage hält was die Beschreibung verspricht. Das ist ja leider nicht immer der Fall. Ein wirklich elegantes und multifunktionales Gerät. Kein Vergleich zu den alten mechanischen Waagen, mit denen man oft nur 2 Kilo abwiegen konnte und den Tara-Wert ausrechnen musste. Bei der Ozeri genügt ein Knopfdruck auf die Tara-Taste und das Eigengewicht des Behälters wird automatisch abgezogen. Die Waage hat eine sehr praktische Timer-Funktion und lässt sich somit auch als Zeitschaltuhr nutzen. Das ist ein echtes Plus gegenüber anderen Modellen. Bei der Einstellung der Maßeinheit muss man etwas aufpassen, neben Gramm und Kilogramm, kann man nämlich auch in Pfund oder Unzen abwiegen, das wird aber immer hinter der Gewichtsangabe angezeigt. Zu dem Preis bin ich mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden.

ha una forma perfetta si infila in spazi stretti senza ingombrare ma sporge abbastanza da essere ben manovrata, bei tastoni per la funzione bilancia e display grande, con numeri visibilissimi. ottimo sistema di timer con suoneria che si sente in tutta la casa, anche se può essere disabilitata e poi la lucina rossa del timer si fa vedere se ho disabilitato il suono. ottimo sistema per fare la tara. il tasto on è velocissimo. uso moltissimo le bilance da cucina e questa è davvero molto efficiente. tempi di consegna rispettati. imballaggio superimbottito.

I bought this scale a couple weeks ago as I was beginning a low calorie diet. Using this scale to count calories has been a walk in the park, and the Tare feature is a real plus. This has personally been an invaluable tool, and I use it a LOT, and would not be without it now. (Haven't used the timer but that's a nice added feature to have when I need it). It's very attractive, and looks nice on the kitchen counter. It has four different weight measurements, (lbs, oz, g, and kg), and seems to be extremely accurate. It will even weigh a napkin! I started to purchase a different brand, but I liked the fact that this uses AAA batteries versus the expensive lithium batteries the other brand I was looking at uses. Then after reading many of the other reviews on this item prior to purchasing, it was an easy choice. Overall I am very happy with this product, and would highly reccommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced but attractive and quality kitchen scale. As an added and unexpected bonus, this morning I received an email from Ozeri thanking me for my purchase and offering me their Electric Pepper Mill & Grinder at NO ADDITIONAL COST - not even a shipping fee. (The peppermill grinder currently sells for $25 on amazon). So for $20, I received the kitchen scale and the peppermill grinder, which by the way, was also highly rated. I don't know how anyone could top that unbelievable value. I'm not sure if everyone who purchases the scale is offered the free peppermill grinder or if this is just a temporary promotion, but even without the grinder, I believe the kitchen scale is a great value on its own merit, and would highly reccommend it to anyone.

Just received this yesterday and my daughter is using it this morning. The battery pack was new but the battery cover is missing. Maybe this was a returned item? I don’t have time to return/replace the whole unit. There is no where to request a part.
