Nice bag with good quality construction for use to go to sewing classes and retreats. It will also hold sewing projects along with tools.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was looking for a sewing basket or bag for my beginner sewing supplies. I looked at Joann’s when they were going out of business, thinking I could get a deal. The bags were still pricey, even with the going out of business discount. So off to Amazon I went. This bag is quality for the price and has more space than I need although I’m sure I will fill it up as I get more supplies.

I’ve always had sewing kits but I decided to get a sewing machine and now I needed a bag. I’m not a fan of prints so I selected this one. I read the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.There are two small pouches that Velcro to the inside top to hold my small scissors. The other side has a zippered space, a mesh space, and areas with elastic to secure items like my seam ripper. The space at the top allowed me to keep two kitchen towels I was decorating and zip easily.The main compartment has a nice cushion on its perimeter. It has a mesh pocket on the top and a large space with dividers that Velcro to the sides for the main space. It is rather deep and will require your organizational skills. I have some practice fabric, pin cushions, thread, pinking sheets, and two other pairs of large scissors. There is much more space inside than I imagined.There is an open pocket on each side with enough room to get my hand in it. If it ever tips over, anything in there will come out. I put packaged needles in those pockets for now.The last zippered space is on the outside front. It has a plastic pocket that currently holds three four-inch zippers. The opposite side has two mesh pockets. You have approximately 1.5-2 inch depth.The lid, main compartment, and outside area each have two sturdy zippers. The handle is tapered and has one snap to make carrying easy.It is the perfect size for my use. My craft room is in the basement and I can finish my project on the first floor carrying the tools I need with me. I anticipate purchasing another for my mom who hand quilts and another when I take projects out of the house.

Product is made well w lots of compartments. Compartments don’t hold as much as you would think based on dimensions, I still needed my old container. The section that is shown holding rolls of thread can only loosely hold a few- I put all my rolls of thread in the bottom underneath section. When full, it’s not heavy & is small enough to store conveniently. Overall I do like it & may purchase another in order to hold all my sewing notions.
