Review: ☆ A Patience-Rewarding Perfume — Let It Macerate! - I bought this fragrance as a blind buy after hearing glowing reviews about its sweet mango scent. First impressions? The bottle is absolutely stunning — elegant and display-worthy. But the fragrance itself initially didn’t meet my expectations. Right out of the box, the mango note smelled more like unripe mango, and the dry down leaned heavily into oud. It came across as quite unisex, maybe even tipping a bit more masculine than I usually prefer. That said, I wasn’t ready to give up on it. I’d read that letting it macerate — basically age and develop — can help bring out the fruitier elements. I bought it in February, and sure enough, after about 6 months, something magical started to happen. The tropical mango I was hoping for finally began to emerge, mellowing beautifully with the oud and creating a much more balanced, inviting scent. This fragrance definitely requires patience. But if you’re willing to wait and let it evolve, it can truly become something special. I’m now excited to see how it continues to develop over the coming months. Bottom line: If you love mango but aren’t sold on oud right away, don’t write this one off. Give it time — it just might surprise you.

I don't smell anything extraordinary at this moment, but I will give an update later. This is my 5th Lattafa perfume, and so far I've been very impressed. Package arrived much sooner than expected! Very appreciated. UPDATE: After wearing this the smokey sultry sexy has a sweet hint of mango. OUD in this reminds me of Myrrh, which is a resin scent I love. Oud is similar but deeper and woodier. It's so good. I am rather new to OUD but have discovered with purchasing my first bottle of OUD MOOD by Lattafa, that I love it so much I spray it on my wrist every morning because it's such a grounding and lovely sweet smokey earthy scent, it's like aromatherapy in a bottle. I will also mix this with a fresh rose since the mango takes a big step back and allows this to dance with an powerful partner OUD, maybe even gardenia for an elegant beachside dinner. This isn't strong as I would like which is the only reason for 4 stars. I'm happy about adding this unexpected adventure to my collection. I would say this is for someone 28 or above, it's flirty but don't play. Yes, a guy could rock this if sprayed lightly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unique!!!

I like this fragrance, but don’t expect a sweet, juicy mango scent. I get a slightly sweet, green mango note, followed by strong bitter orange and lime. The opening is sharp, bright, and pungent, while the dry down becomes smokier and more interesting. It has strong projection, so 1–4 sprays is plenty in my opinion. I’d be considerate when wearing it around people who are sensitive to strong fragrances, including those with asthma or fragrance allergies. I also recommend letting it macerate, as I think the fragrance will blend and develop even better with time. Overall, it’s a very unique fragrance for the price—definitely not your typical mango scent. The name Ajayeb, meaning “wonders” in Arabic, fits perfectly. Strange, unusual, and intriguing in a good way, lol. So if you want to experience something different then go for it.
