I bought Downy's fragrance beads because of their light scent. The scent is very soft, a marine fragrance, and it smells pleasant after washing clothes. However, the lasting power is rather average; after wearing clothes close to the skin for a day, the scent is basically gone.During a normal washing machine cycle, the beads completely dissolve and don't stick to clothes. If you want a long-lasting, strong fragrance, this won't do; if you prefer a light, clean feeling, this is a good choice.

I received Downy Light Ocean Mist Laundry Scent Boosters for free to try, and I was honestly shocked by how much we loved the scent. It has such a fresh, clean fragrance that’s great not only for everyday laundry but also for bedding, blankets, and other items around the house. We loved it so much that we decided it’s definitely something we’ll keep buying. I just wish Downy offered this same scent in plug-in air fresheners because I would absolutely use them throughout the house!

Good smell. Good amount. Don't know why it considers that it's a lighter scent. You can still smell it. Love the nature of the product because it's so easy to use, and makes sure doing the laundry actually nets you a good result, which is nice smelling clothes. Haven't seen that it does any stain removal, but it does smell clean. Can't tell you how long it lasts either, because I generally don't hang my clothes in sections that are scented with one particular thing. They get mixed into the "general population" as it were of things that haven't been washed in a while. I just know it smells good once you take it out of the laundry/dryer. No, it's not going to still smell good if you stink up the place by doing a heavy job out of the house in high heat and humidity, or of you're a stress sweater. But I have deodorant for that. I just want my clothes not to come out of the cleaning process smelling like nothing good. These boosters help them initially have a soft but good smell. I love the smell of orange, so this works for me. Like it better than some very perfumed or musky sort of scent products. Feel cleaner wearing something that has been pre-treated with a smell like this one. And Downy tends to make the best ones, as you don't have them sticking to your clothes after the wash. They dissolve well, which is important, esp. if you are washing in cool/cold water. I give it an "A"

Love these. First saw them on the shelf at Ollies and thought I would try. I have super sensitive skin and typically use clear detergents and fabric softener. Like the scent on this, seemed light and not overwhelming, and I prefer citrus type of scents. Huge fan! Love the delicate nature of the orange and I have been stocking up! Easy to use, just toss in.

I have never had one compliant on this scent! All my neighbors know when im doing laundry because of it. It makes my house smell like it and I love it! My sister has said it last days, even when those items have been through a different detergent. I absolutely love this scent!
