Scanstrut Flip Pro Fast Charge Dual USB Socket with Front fit Bezel

I installed this as a replacement for a different style of outdoor USB outlet. The other brands/models did not last in the salt atmosphere for very long even though the manufacturers said they would. This product is much more elegant, takes up less space, and is still surviving the harsh environment with no signs of wear or corrosion so far. Very easy to install, does not require a large amount of room behind it, and I love the self closing spring loaded cover.

Nice piece that addresses the reality that USB A is becoming a dinosaur. If you're going to install this piece may as well embrace the dual USB C option and move forward. The cover is very nice and locks in open position for ease of access, the only gripe I had that cost it a star was that the Bezel did not feel "fitted". I had hoped the socket would "nest" in the bezel resulting in a sort of self centering look with no suggestion of a gap. But that is not true. The bezel does not center the socket so unless you're extremely careful when mounting you may end up with gaps showing between the bezel and socket. Not a big issue just not as clean a look as you would hope for

I’m disappointed in the latest Scanstrut USB-C dual port edition but this one does make up for some of the shortcomings of that product. The USB-A port works every time. The USB-C works more often than not but the occasional wiggle of the cable is required. Disappointing based on the price and Scanstrut reputation.
