I do a lot of 3-4 day backwoods hikes that are way off the grid. Can I put this in my first aid pack just Incase?

I'm a surgical technician and I'll buy one of these for real life emergencies. It has everything u need to close a deep wound that requires stiching. You put the needle into the needle holder and with the other hand use the forceps to gather the tissue you want to suture. Look into other sutures though make sure they are sterile. For deeper wounds you need absorbable sutures. For skin closure you can use either absorbable or nonabsorbable. Also look into surgical staples. Practice how to suture and if God forbid situation calls for it you'll be self sufficient. The main problem would be lack of anesthesia.

Do you need to have some suturing skills before getting this? Or would it be ok to get it and learn how to suture on it?

Can you use it more than once?

A typical suture doesn't use up the entire length of the thread so you can perform the suture, tie the knot, and cut off the excess thread and keep going until you run out. The needles are not reusable once they run out of thread.
